$300 million per year?!

quote:

SEC Moves to ABC Fox and NBC will express a lot of interest in CBS’s Saturday afternoon SEC package. CBS will fight to keep it, but ESPN will pick up the rights for ABC for around $300 million per year, a massive increase from the $55 million CBS currently plays. The SEC will ultimately decide it wants more scheduling flexibility by having one partner rather than dividing its rights across two.

SEC on CBS theme

Everything that happens after that song is not so good.

I'd rather the SEC move to fricking PBS than to have to continue watching games on CBS

300 mil divided 14 ways is pretty good. I know that wont be the exact number since the conference with get their share but wow.

Does this mean ESPN plus? Are we moving toward a stand alone SEC football streaming service?!?! Take my money!

I must be the only person alive who couldn’t give a shiznit which network carries the SEC games, provided: the money is the best; the camera work is superlative; and live streaming is first-rate.

most people don't care. However, we're years away from this story having any relevance.

This. As long as they keep the theme song, I’m good.

I fully expect ESPN to nab the SEC in the wake of Fox flexing their muscle this year.

If this criteria is applied, CBS should never be considered; their streaming is for shite.
