Thoughts on Odom to Arkansas as DC?

Just saw on Finebaum. And yes I hate Pawl. The arrogance of that man. He actually suggested that we needed his approval of our head coach. Unreal. Anyway. Other than that turd. The news is Barry Odom coming to coach our defense. I'm telling you guys Pittman builds relationships. There will be a statue of the guy here before he is done.

About as good of a hire as we could have hoped for. I also think it’s good for our national perception.

It’s a great hire. Odom was a very good DC. Also think it was important to have someone on staff with head coaching experience.

We get some head coaching experience to help Pittman transition. To lessen the load Odom will make all decisions regarding the Defense down to the hires. He obviously has connections, recognizes, or can coach up a defensive staff.
Odom has had good Defenses everywhere he has gone. Looking at his defense #'s on Wikipedia. We will be a top 25 D at worst. Could be top 10 with the right players and time.

Probably because we've only won 4 games in two seasons and lost 19 or 20 straight conference games. Plus somebody posted something about Bert liked getting his arse eat out and everybody was on edge during the coaching search so it became a necessary distraction.
