That’s some damn revisionist history right there, holy shite.
I still stand by he wasn’t a great OC, Tulsa got better after he left and so did Clemson. He’s about to frick Auburn’s offense up and I’m here for it. Bo Nix now isn’t just going to have Gus to ruin him but Chad too. Poor kid.

We were more like awfully offensive to anyone watching.

honestly what he misses is line play. thts what I see improve everywhere he left. we were always scrambling on linemen till last minute here.

I don't think he was a good OC. When our offense sputtered with Bobby in the first half he would take over in the 2nd half and they'd come and start hitting on all cylinders for the 2nd half.

If he was a good OC that would have happened. Nutt's players also didn't like Bobby but they at least respected him enough to buy in. No one bought in on Chad, then it got worse after he said well they aren't my guys.

I still think his best attribute is recruiting. But only Texas, since that's the only place he is respected.

this is absolutely insane.

we are 110 out of 130 teams this year
that's an improvement from 114 last year

before chad we were actually 61 (2017), 57 (2016), 27 (2015)

you can blame it on square-peg-round-hole or whatever, but saying the offense "wasn't awful" is objectively really, really wrong.

That's not true for Tulsa at all. They dropped from like 41 ppg to 33.

Chad Morris' last year at clemson they averaged 30. Sure they spiked in the immediate aftermath but they until just last year they hadn't beat his two best PPG years.

I don't think we should be fooling ourselves here. There is a real good chance Auburn looks improved on offense next year throughout and come game day with us Chad will get in on the annual "I hate Arkansas" beat down that Gus host every year.

He sucked as a HC and program manager though and we were totally justified in moving on so fast from a historically bad HC.

Chad will probably be OK as Auburn's OC.

I'm just glad he's not our HEAD coach.

yeah, tbh i think he will do really well as auburn's OC. the players are set up for his offense, and he has solid history as an OC. no reason to say the offense at arkansas was any good to justify it, though, when the offense numbers have sucked shite for the past few years.

He will flame out if he is calling plays. I think this is just a spit in the face from Gus and Chaggy is more than likely little more than an analyst with an OC Title. Chard is washed. Gus is the only P5 HC that would have taken the risk to hire him.

Yeah, I'm guessing he's on for his recruiting more than anything else. Dude can peddle some snake oil.

Morris *was* a well respected OC. The shite show he pulled off here is of astounding porportions. Chad was literaly the worst hire for any P5 program in the past decade. That's how awful he was. He lost his respect. He has to earn it back now, and he is very lucky to be friends with a guy like Gus who would give him a job. Were it not for Gus, he was destined to be an analyst at whatever school his son played for. Even the Wake Forest's and Northwestern's of P5 football wouldn't have considered him for OC. That's how bad his reputation is tarnished.

I think Morris should be allowed to name the starting qb for Auburn every year.

Gus already has his next "blood sacrifice". You got to give the guy credit. He will take the plays he likes and also recruit the guys son. And the minute the tigers fans turn on him he can say. Well I thought he got a bad rep at Arkansas and believed that with talent he could do what he did at Clemson.

It didn't work out like I'd hoped. Gets a good QB and a one year pass all in one hire. Plus Morris isn't a bad recruiter either. So there is that.

I fricking hate Gus.
