You're being quite generous with your assessment of South Carolina. We thank you for that, during these difficult times brother.

I've always liked South Carolina. It's not personal.

They’ve won several big games over the last 10 years or so.
They have a very talented team.
The only way to find out who is really the best in college football is to play everyone home and home, but they would need 258 games to get that accomplished.
I don’t think it’s going to happen.

11-2 vs SEC last 5 years
Whole lotta USCe and A&M in the mess. I’ll give them credit for beating Bama twice. They beat a really good Auburn in 2017. 2016 though? Not so much

5 of those 11 were SC without Spurrier. And don't think for a second those loaded spurrier teams wouldn't stack up to against the last 5 Clemson teams. Bottom line is, Spurrier got lazy at the wheel and didn't bring in an adequate successor. Therefor we stopped ending the Clemson bullshite before it started.
Take 2011 for example: Saban or Meyer would have won a natty with this team, easily.

I count 17 future NFL pro's on that roster pretty quickly.

As also a Clemson fan, I am disappointed at the ACC this year. A few years ago it seemed they were going to step up (VT, Miami, LV especially) Dis anyone really expect F$U to fall off this bad? But Clemson is not responsible for the other teams progress. Not long ago it was Bama was way above everyone else in the SEC.

Bama was better but the other sec teams didn't suck like the acc teams do now

Clemson is responsible for wanting to entertain offers to other power conferences though. As far as the past with Bama carrying the torch when the other teams were down... No other team in the SEC or even Big Ten were this bad like we are seeing in the ACC. The ACC was historically bad this past season. And it’s not close

What a joke . Their SEC schedule was a bunch of cupcakes And those cupcakes were still the hardest teams on their schedule . Much easier to prepare all season to beat those 1-2 cupcakes than to play an entire season of SEC teams . If they played in the SEC they would’ve never made it to the championship
