Blue blood to me isnt about measuring actual success per se, its about perception more than anything (which likely started with success)

Blue Bloods in football

Bama
Ohio State
ND
Oklahoma
USC


Thats it as I see it. I think Nebraska would have been there but they have managed to go the way of Army and Navy

Yeah blue blood has as much to do with historic reputation, legendary coaches, etc. as it does modern success.

In that regard UGA may have a slight edge on LSU but neither really fits all that well.

If you look solely to modern success then Florida would qualify in football and basketball, but in reality isn't considered blue blood in either.
