I'm a big fan of his work. Hard to believe people don't give a shite for a coach who contributed towards a top 5 defense.

It would be hard for Kirby to replace him with a worse recruiter if he actually goes, but Kirby also promoted James Coley to OC, so at this point I have less than zero confidence in his ability to make good hires.

Tray may not be a sexy recruiter but he has done a great job coaching these guys up. That's when you get to start to preaching results and development in your recruiting. I'd consider losing Tray a loss.

Jordan davis, Travon Walker, and Jalon Carter are sexy as frick. The only real knock on JD was controlling his weight and being conditioned to withstand a 12 play drive. We hire people to fix that.

What is surprising is people don't like him in spite of the fact that he was in charge of arguably the most consistently successful unit we had this year. Our run defense was good in pretty much every single game.

Serious question. Would you rather have a coach who recruits all 4* 5* and does not get them playing where they should, or get a weaker recruiter but gets them to play like 4* and 5* players? Our run defense was absolutely lights out this year and we have tons of young talent coming back with even more committed.

If its in the same capacity, why would he take a step back?
Going form UGA to Arky, no offense ot Arky, is a step down in Football.

I think he's a great coach. Our DL was monstrous this year for us. He may not recruit as well as Gardner but I think he would be a great coach.... for them.
