Kiffen to Ole Miss. We could have easily gotten him here. Say what you want about his tactics, you're fool if you think you can win without cheating. Offensively he'd have out whitted Dabo just like Spurrier did. He also understands the importance of hiring top Coordinators. He could have gotten his "beak wet" in CHS or CLT. Not to mention this is a way easier side of the conference to build a team in.

Yet here we are stuck with Coach Dipshit. And hoping for Bobo. What a joke. SC's problem in football is about one thing and one thing alone.

Our upper level management is on par with the Cleveland Browns.

It's gettin' old baws… it's gettin' old. Going to be a long 9 months before we get to suffer through another football season, but it's still football..

Basketball . Baseball , but probably .

Don't get me wrong I like those sports, just saying we suck. I still rather watch shitty football.

I agree with this but hard pass on Kiffin. You really think firing Muschamp and then bringing in a coach like Kiffin who would jump ship as soon as a bigger name came calling in 1-3 seasons would be good for this program?

Wouldn’t that mean we were doing well though?
Especially if he was winning, yes I’d take that and he’d atleast have built something
No ones coming after him if he’s going 7-5 with us

Yea but that was his first year as a head coach.
Now he’s had a little bit more time Coaching so I’d feel they have to give him some look at an SEC program and some success

As I previously stated, I'm a business man. I buy undervalued/distressed business, clean them up and hold them for 2/3 years on average before selling for a profit.

So to answer your question

ABSOfrickINGLUTELY

And as far as him leaving early. I'm a business man, not a baseball coach playing monopoly with the schools money. His arse gets a 4 year guarantee with a $50 Million dollar early buyout, on his end. And what he's owed for the season and the next and nothing more on ours. And thats non negotiable.

He also gets....
A condo in CLT and CHS so he can get his balls wet as needed.
To build up a team in the easiest side of the SEC
The funding to hire a support staff the makes Clemson's look poor

And a contract based solely on peformance that will go up as he makes us money accordingly. Clemson can afford $80 million for Dabo. You fools don't get how much larger we are as well as our alumni base is?

Saying it one more time for the dumbasses in the back. Don't hire dumb shits to run a business.

He was 7-6 after getting in the drives seat of dumpster on fire. He halted it, righted it and almost beat #1 Florida and #1 Alabama as well as turing in a Top 10 recruiting class.

If you're going to state facts, state them all. He can fricking coach. And our current dip shite can't.

You're insane if you don't think that staff he put together there was going to run rough shot post Meyer at Florida.

The year before Kiffin: 5-7
The year with Kiffin: 7-5
The years after Kiffin: 5-7, 5-7, 5-7

The years before Kiffin went to So.Cal: 10-2, 9-4.
The years Kiffin was at So. Cal: 8-5, 10-2, 7-6, 3-2 before getting fired.

If you think that's "cleaning the program up to sell for a profit" - to use how you described your profession - I don't know what to tell you. Muschamp was 6-7 and 9-4 in his first two seasons, if I had asked you what you thought about him then he would’ve fit your “stopped the bleeding” profile perfectly, but now look at him. You never can tell and it’s foolish to assume Kiffin would be able to do any different.

Buying and turning over homes for a quick profit is a terrible analogy for running a major football program. You're just assuming Kiffin (or any other coach) could just automatically win here the same way you just purchase whatever you need to flip homes.

eta: And before you tell me about So.Cal facing scholarship limitations please note that Kiffin's recruiting classes there all finished top 15/top 10. All the recruiting the world couldn't buy him more 3.5 half seasons.

eta #2: In fact, the man has never coached anywhere more than 3 seasons. Why anyone thinks he would bring long-term stability - especially given how he has butted heads with administrators, other coaches, and fans everywhere he has been - is beyond me.

Why would people want Kiffin? He didn’t just fail at one school, but two. About to be a third

TRUE, it’s like Leach, I think he is overrated but his press conferences aren’t

I for one don’t or didn’t want Kiffin
Don’t or didn’t want Leach
But Kiffin failed at one school.
He’d be much better off as an OC though IMO. But he’s been given a second chance in the SEC as a HC. You have to take that if you’re him

I know fans are pissed that Muschamp is still here but seeing as how we would be out 22 million and Kiffin is the top new hire in the SEC I think we should count our blessings that we didn't fire him.
