Healy declined an interview.

I would guess we reached out to Norvell. So he probably turned us down.

Harsin, maybe?

Remember, he didn't turn us down. We just couldn't make it work.

I feel terrible for him and his family.

I’m not sure who goes to $5M for him. I guess in a couple years, the market will be there.

Harsin is in no hurry to move.
It seems Fickle and Cawley were never considered which is a shame.

Agents were probably contacted and got a quick no.

Fickle is waiting on a B1G opportunity.

Clawson has Notre Dame and Clemson as the only "unwinnable" games next year and has several pieces coming back. He likely hit some incentives this year and will get a raise.

Oh well.

Could be worse. We had exactly two coaches who were interested in our job. Three if you count Butch Davis who is so old he remembers when Jesus ran the scout team.

who did Mizzou have serious interest in vs who was Mizzou kicking the tires on just to be thorough?

I think Drinkwitz was highly likely #1 or #2 on Sterk's list when this started.

Rod Carey had no shot at this Gig, they would of done a lottery and sold $100 tickets, and let winning fan coach team, before they would of hired Carey, Rod or Jim.

Pure guess. List was Harsin, Drinkwitz, and Anderson, in that order. Healy and Norvell checked off prior to the actual firing. Harsin said no thanks, the other two expressed interest. Sterk vetted them, maybe pulled Sundvold off to chat, decided to roll the dice with the young guy. Got a handshake agreement Thursday, and let the lawyers off the leash.

Sexton decided to up the pot, maybe figured he could get higher dollars if Anderson moved up the list, and fed Karrakker his line. St Lou scribblers go nutz, Sterk keeps the hatchs battened down until Old Timer gets the green light to make the initial leak.
