It really does suck that this actually ends up being a factor

I don’t think we get in if we lose. Conference championships should mean something if you are trying to decide between teams with the same record. If LSU loses it will be Baylor/Oklahoma winner that gets in.

There's two teams playing today that are very most likely in as long as they don't lose big & that's the Tigah's & Suckeyes.I think they both win comfortably though. Way to much offense. Now Clemson has to win to get in which they easily will.

not to mention, I dont' think the committee is going ot want to put 2 teams in that are playing each other today. What would be the point when we already know the outcome of a game between them?

If Georgia wins I doubt the committee will put two SEC teams in again. All that bullshite about the eye test and resume will go down the shithole as the committee will say it's the most recent results.

If LSU wants in, they'll have to win.

As it should be.

People still after 5 yeras don't seem to realize that the only 2 teams (out of 20) that made the palyoffs without winning their conference did so because they were competing for the last spot with teams with 2 losses. It's pretty clear that you need to win your conference to get in, or get A LOT of help from other conferences. Utah did their part yesterday, but a 1-loss non-champ LSU won't be and shouldn't be higher in the pecking order than a 1-loss Big12 champ.

I think if LSU loses a close game to the #4 team they are in, no question! If UGA loses by 20, or 1, they are out, simple as that.

Nobody is discussing the possibility of OSU or Clemson losing tonight.

they might be in, but I mean there's definitely a question about it. They'd do somethign that no team in playoff history has done, so I'm in a "I'll believe it when I see it" mode.

We couldn’t possibly be 3. They aren’t dropping Clemson behind us if we lost today. We’d be 4 or 5, and I think it’s a toss up. I’m definitely pulling for Baylor today as the committee is less impressed with them than OU and they lack the name recognition.

If LSU loses a close game to UGA then LSU would only move down one spot and UGA would be 4th. We can’t overlook that pathetic home loss to a 4-8 South Carolina team. Plus the committee will want to preserve the potential LSU vs Ohio State matchup in the Championship. They wouldn’t have us play each other in the semis.

I disagree. The CFP would more than likely rank 1.OSU 2. Clemson 3. UGA 4. LSU. They would not want them to rematch in the First round of the playoffs. I hope this happens!
