Every Kiffin report tonight used the exact same language. "Close to a deal." I paid very close attention to each one.

It all leads back to one spot. It's just a matter of if the original source is wrong or right.

I have no source for this one, but I think we win this one. Something is off about tonight's events. When you consider everything combined it just doesn't make sense unless Kiff gets ridiculous money from OM.

Source is Jimmy Sexton. If he were my agent I guess I'd thankful for the extra $$ his putting in my bank account...on the same hand no reason for all this to go down the night before a conference championship game.

Ole Miss has already announced the introductory press conference to the fan base on Monday. I’m fairly certain this isn’t a troll.

If all this is true and hunter didn’t have a fall back option I’m going to be highly pissed with hunter not lane. Lane has proven two things to be true during his time as a football coach. 1. He knows how to coach offense 2. He’s about as loyal as a rattlesnake. Much like petrino if your man is lane Kiffin you better have a contingency and I don’t blame Kiffin for this he is who he is I blame hunter for not being ready for it

It wouldn't be HY. It would be the BOT and boosters you need to be pissed at.

The dude on HV who first said Lane was looking at all his options since HY was still interviewing said he reached back out to his “source” yesterday and the whole athletic department is supposedly on lockdown with no news coming out.

Probably made up, but kind of fits with what’s happening. We could be playing who blinks first with Sexton, still sitting on our hire, or be completely arse fricked scrambling like eggs.

What? No it would 100% be on it. Lane was coaching through today regardless the board didn’t make that decision lane did and I don’t blame him. If we get left with our dick in our hand and egg on our face it won’t be because of the goddamn gobn that everybody loves to slobber over. It will be because the ad didn’t do his goddamn motherfricking job and have a viable replacement in case his “guy” decides to
Jump ship which knowing lane should always be something you have to be ready for. If we end up with some shitty hire it’s all on hunter on this one

Jimmy Sexton strikes again.

Too far down on the list to start over. We’ll either end up with a coach that isn’t proven at the P5 level or Lunney who we all know AND isn’t proven at the P5 level.

It will be hard for Lunney to lure top tier assistants due to his lack of experience (Orgeron’s was masked by the fact that Louisiana is a hotbed of recruiting and also a one-school State which helped him with assistants. Keep in mind Aranda was already there).

At this point the firing of Morris mid-season hasn’t done anything for our coaching search except make it linger for longer than usual.

We just Arkansas’d ourselves.

And if all the backups say no too, whose fault is that? Does that fall to the sacrificial lamb that is JCP? The GOBN shite the bed with Chad and it turns out that that was the hire we couldn't afford to frick up not this one.

For the record this is just conjecture, I think everything will be fine. And if it isn't, that's fine too. I have lots of hobbies other than watching Razorback futility.
