If you take out UK and GT (total of 57 yards on UGA Pass d), UGA is outside of the top 50 in Pass Defense.

Uk had a WR playing QB and GT is 123rd in Pass O. 122 if you take out UGA game.

And yes, I spent too much time looking at this. about 10 min.

ETA: I still respect UGA defensively. They are a good unit. They do not suck.

I've tried to make myself get worried about this game but when you look at every stat and every offense they've played I just don't see how they keep LSU from scoring 30pts.

On the flip side, I don't see how they score more than 14.

The SEC Championship will be claimed by one stat, final score.

Otherwise you can rationalize all you want, the Dawgs will be ready to play.

Don't kid yourself.

take away all of LSU's passing yards against teams that aren't good at pass defnese adn they have like 200 pass yards total on the year. It's crazy

You realize S&P+ accounts for completion, right? UGA is holding teams to 65% of their season rushing average and 76% of their passing average, which are both elite numbers. In contrast, LSU holds teams to 83% of their rushing average and 92% of their passing.

I keep seeing this from UGA fans as if LSU won't be ready to play. They've literally "come to play" in 12 games so far. Why would that change in their biggest game to date?

I just get the feeling that UGA fans don't really grasp what is about to happen. LSU's offense is like an avalanche. UGA may stop it on the first series. Maybe even the 2nd or 3rd series but it's relentless. They have found the weakness of every defense they've played so far.

Tigers win this one 37-14.

UGA's defense numbers are obviously inflated by the quarterbacks they have faced but they are still an excellent group.

The game is a day away, what's the point of so many threads like this? It's all going to be settled very shortly.

We might score 37 but our defense isn't going to hold them to 14,they are going to score

LSU put up 293 passing yards against the number 19 pass defense and 393 against the 11th best pass defense.

LSU has played 4 defenses inside the top 50 in pass defense, and has averaged 320 yards through the air against those teams.

Kellen Mond threw for 275.

Half of their opponents threw for over 245. Murray State is in there.

We Comin' and we aint scared.

With those teams we average 186/game (15)
Without we average 215.

Which btw is still better than “dbu” without cherry picking games.

Should I leave out two games of your choosing where we dominated the opponent?

76% of their passing average

Calling BS on that. Stats can be deceiving.

aTm had 275 on UGA vs 247 average.
AU is 245 vs a 210 average
UT is 273 vs a 220 average
ND is 275 vs a 250 average

Murray State had 261 vs a 237 average.

That state is highly flawed.

ATM -1 rushing yards
UT 70 rush yards
ND 46 rush yards
AU 84 rush yards
Murray State 23 rush yards

Pretty sure I know why those teams threw the ball so much..

LSU gives up more passing and rushing, even if you take away our best games.
