Know that whatever comes after that is something he is interpolating or making up out of thin air 75% of the time.

Spot on. And almost as bad is attributing "news" to "a source close to/with knowledge of the situation."

Truth...I mean if PM had any real info in there it would be in media’s hands instantaneously, right? They certainly taking advantage of this to drive subscriptions. I get it, it’s their biz model and all, and probably decent recruiting info but prolly worthless for a coaching search.

I’ve said this elsewhere, but I strongly believe based on several past coaching searches and info I’ve received from sources inside and outside PM, they know more than they tell their subscribers.
They give them enough to justify the monthly charge but not so much that they piss off the Athletic department. Which really makes them shitheads IMO.

I buy into this. Gabe keeps feeding more information about Sterk/Odom slowly dragging out the reason Barry got fired.

Brother, I can't think of one reporter that covers Mizzou football. All these whack jobs are simply no different than if you, kilo and myself sat around a bonfire on Saturday night drinking a cold one talking about who the next coach is and then "reporting" those talks on Monday as "I'm hearing...."

As the senators would say, I respectfully disagree with my esteemed colleague."...to a point. Yes, I think Gabe trickles out info that he holds back for future clicks. Don't blame him (kinda) as that's his mortgage money-maker.
But I am firmly convinced that he's not as accurately informed as some believe (and he would like us to think.)
And I doubt that his MU "insiders" and "sources" are close to the upper levels. He's been surprised enough times for me to think he doesn't have a decent mole.
After this many years on the job, a damned good "journalist" would have the phone numbers and know the drink choices of every janitor and secretary in the AD...as well as some key insiders that tend to be talkative.
But I am firmly convinced that he's not as accurately informed as some believe (and he would like us to think.)

Sterk doesn't talk to Gabe. But he certainly talks, you just need to have some access to those who hear him
I know nothing about Karakker, nor do I know whether there was a list presented.
