SECR Power Rankings
I would first like to point out that over 700 of you participated in the final vote going into the conference championships. From a high level, the rant/expert panel seemed to agree down the line with a few +/- 1 deviations. With quite a few more posters representing west teams (UGA being the exception), the bias is predictable but small.
LSU is a staple at #1 but has a date with clear #2 UGA this weekend in Atlanta for all the (SEC) Marbles. Surprisingly, Tennessee has fought back from the cellar to go bowling with a respectable 7-5 and Arkansas has secured the last spot at 2-10.
The good news, we are accepting applications to join the Power Rankings Panel! Please email lewdawgtd@gmail.com in the following manor:

The current voters will determine who joins us next year or maybe this year. We can possibly do basketball if the interest is high enough.

Big 6 prevails.
Preseason #1 Alabama is ranked one spot higher than Tennessee team that lost to Georgia State.

No offense to Auburn, but I don't understand how they got the nod over Florida. They both lost to the same teams, and Florida won the h2h.
I guess there is a certain amount of logic to it, but the h2h should tilt it in Florida's favor, imo.

Thank you!
I would like to take this time to thank the Arkansas football team. Picking against you guys all season long was the key to many perfect weeks. When everyone else thought you would beat the sisters of the poor, I picked against you. When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, I picked against you.
I would also like to thank the general population of the SEC Rant posting community. Without all of you dumb asses picking so damn poorly in straight up games each week, this wouldn't have been possible. Thanks to all of you goofy arse clowns, you have made me look like a fricking genius.

There is no way Tennessee is better than Texas am dude. For real? I hate Aggy as much as anyone on the planet and I'm glad that LSU embarrassed them, however, Tennessee hasn't played near the teams that Texas am has this season. LSU, Clemson, and Auburn are 3 losses that Tennessee would have on their resume as well along with bama and uga (whom they played and got skullfricked)...then add their non conference losses and they aren't even bowl eligible. Tennessee is in no way, shape, or form a better football team than Texas am is. If they played, the gays would beat Tennessee by 10 points I would say and there is no way Tennessee would beat them. Thats the only problem I have with the "experts" rankings. No way in hell. Looks good other than that.

No offense to you either, but I'll disagree and say Auburn and Florida are neck and neck. I was at the Auburn vs Florida game and that was the loudest stadium I heard besides JHS against Bama. Home field advantage played a huge part of that game and also Bo has had some more time to develop. Im almost positive Auburn could have beat Florida if it were played in JHS and or a neutral field.

Your thought edge upon the “Down syndrome” line. Power rankings are judging how well a team is currently playing.

I agree with you. I personally ranked Tennessee 7th, behind A&M and above Kentucky. Texas A&M is a better team than people are crediting them for. Maybe not there yet with the top tier of the SEC, but they were largely handicapped by a brutal schedule this year. I expect them to wallop whatever B12, B10, or ACC school they get paired with in a bowl game.
