Maybe the best college FB coach of all time.
But the game has passed him by, as it eventually does with everybody.
I really hope he doesn’t try to cling to yesterday’s successes and slowly choke the life out of the dominant program he built.
His frustration clearly shows and the impending taint to his reputation is palpable.
Step down, Nick, while you can still say you went out on top.
It is no fun for you any more anyway.

Short of some major scandal, he can’t tarnish his reputation. Dude has won 6 National Titles in his career. Nobody in the modern era has come close to that success. Bama lost 2 games this year. Yeah the defense was bad, but shite happens.
I think the worst thing for me about Bama losing is dealing with the lunacy, both within the fanbase, and without.

do you know why Saban coaches or anyone coaches? That reason hasn't diminished or passed him by. Would you walk away from $10m? no.

I remember saying the game had passed the bear in the late 60s. The 70s includes a couple of NC And 11 in a row over UT, LSU, etc. lost once to Auburn.
