I think it's because he is higher risk than most other candidates. But if Yurachek feels comfortable with him, I'm good with it. I think he has a very high ceiling. Especially if he can bring Briles and Pittman.
Someone also said he has on his current staff the former #1 recruiter in the nation? If he can bring Briles, Pittman, and whoever that is, I can see what makes him an attractive candidate. We need some croots!

I used the skill of plane tracking on coach searches I used it to monitor my wife's flights when she was fly to Charlotte a lot. Handy info.

That recruiter is Lance Thompson. He got that title while working at Bama. Any coach of theirs wnds up being a #1 recruiter. You know the guy is a top recruiter if they land us 4*'s in Fayetteville. Thats the real challange. He is also Sam Pittman's close friend. He's the reason many believe Pittman would come under Kiffin.

I think he's just not a very stable coach, and I also think his coaching abilities aren't higher than either Clark or Norvell's (my top two), he's just had a shot at two major programs, so he gives off the air that he's accomplished more. That said, I think he's more than qualified and he could even feasibly do spectacularly here. Just the way he's left and been fired from several jobs, the bridges burnt, the alleged way he's conducted himself… it seems like something that could bite us in the arse, which makes me uncomfortable.
I could get behind the hire 100%, though. It sure as hell beats a dumbass, headscratching hire like Barry Odom, Matt Luke, Joe Moorhead, Chad Morris, or even Jeremy Pruitt.
