Who is the homerun hire we need?

We do not need Fuente, or Fickell….
Campbell?
Norvell?
who is realistic who would take this position.
Kiffin?
You know, there aren't the names available that we have had in years past overall.
CBB was a huge name hire, and he went flat after I guess drinking himself into 150 lbs. But this season it is a bit flat as for flash hires who can be ultimately successful.
Folks, we are in such a sad position that a mediocre coach just will not cut it. We need a splash hire to enthuse fans this time. There are way too many season tix holders who are letting go of Nutt's proverbial rope.
Kiff is still interested FWIW... but....
I would love the Campbell hire as well. Man, we need some awesome hire here.

We will make some underwhelming hire and Drewbie/Latarian will come out praising it like gospel. And the rest of the the lemmings will say “yay”.

I'm in for Kiffin 100%.
One thing Chad did show us is that you can recruit here. Kiffin would take that to the next level, plus he's a solid coach.
I would take his cheaper salary and use the leftover to give him the staff he needs. Slap him with a non-compete for the SEC and give him performance raises.
In a couple years Saban will retire and Ed O may crash back down to Earth. By that time Lane could have us back and ready to really compete.
