Arkansas has had a rough 2019 season, to put it mildly. Heading into the final game of the season, the Razorbacks are dealing with a health issue out of the ordinary: a mumps outbreak.
According to Tom Murphy of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, it started with nine confirmed cases on UA campus.
On Monday, a statement was released saying two student-athletes had been diagnosed with mumps: “Two student-athletes have been diagnosed with the mumps and they have been at the Jones Center recently. A few staff members in athletic training have also been quarantined. To be safe, we strongly recommend that everyone get the vaccine.”

I was just contemplating this week what a marvelous moment it would be if Arkansas manages to upset Mizzou. This does not please me.

Apparently every position group has had someone catch mumps except the receivers.
All of the receivers are apparently so bad that they couldn’t even catch the mumps.

Back in the 50s and early 60s damn near all kids got the mumps at some point. Got to miss some school.
