Football team: sucks
Basketball team: sucks
Other sports: suck outside of volleyball

We aren’t even a notable academic school. Everything the university does is painfully mediocre at best, and complete arse at worst. The last 6 weeks have been absolutely pathetic between the revenue sports, with football going 0-5 and basketball going 0-3 vs high major competition.

Football last 5 years
2015: 5-7
2016: 4-8
2017: 7-6
2018: 8-5
2019: 5-6
Overall 29-32 with no bowl victories.

Basketball last 5 years
2015: 9-23
2016: 10-21
2017: 8-24
2018: 20-13
2019: 15-17
Overall 62-98 with no tournament wins.

I mean seriously, reread that and tell me that isn’t the most pathetic, unacceptable, putrid pile of garbage this university has ever assembled. COMPLETELY unacceptable on any level regardless of what excuses you want to make.

Fire. Literally. Everyone.

“Patience” and “next year” might as well be the University’s motherfricking motto.

Eberflus Barry part 2
Grinch Horrendous OU defense, never been a HC

Death, taxes, and Mizzou making atrocious coaching hires.

I don't think he's asking for a lot of patience, grasshopper

that is Mizzou. It's a pleasant place that's very plain vanilla average. It's not really bad at much, it's not really good at much, and not really excellent at anything. It's also kind of always been run by the administration for the administration.

but in sports we had a bit of fun with Norm and Pinkel

Seems like a bad year to hire a head coach. Next year we will see a lot less firing and hiring new head coaches. So might be a good year to look for one.

Maybe down this year. Currently ranked 19th. Been competitive in recent years, though.

Mizzou needs to hop on university esports bandwagon now while few schools are in yet. We could be a leader in something if we act now! But seriously we should since it has potential big revenue to small cost.

Now there is the best reason to stay mediocre. WTF are we becoming?

What I am saying is This is typical of Mizzou. Just like Gary Pinkel's years. Pinkel and Barry Odom have very similar records to begin with. Not going to replaced head coach with one down year since the first year. If Odom continue to go 5-7. maybe not one down year. I am seeing the same thing happened to Gary Pinkel. See the pattern? That is what I am afraid of that is what this AD is going to accept as it is. Maybe people need to stop going to the game and stop watching on T.V.. That is only way to send a message to AD and President is to stop providing us fans bad football and basketball teams and be cheap while most others provide top teams. I am not going to be watching much football and basketball games any more and I am getting bored with all this crap! You just got to wait until next year and see what we get for the following year if same thing then hang it up to those two sports until there is a change.

This is just like Gary Pinkel. If it gets really bad like missed bowl games 2 in tow and fans not show up and losing support from fans and players. Then that is when make changes. Garry Pinkel did not have back to back real bad season. So that is why I think this is what I am seeing. If repeated back to back then there is a chance he will be gone. SEC is a lot harder conference than the Big 12. So I do not know what to say and hope next year would be a lot better or be just as bad as this year or worst and then gets fired. I am not going to predict what the situation will be next year and how things will go with the AD. Might have to fire the AD first in order to replace the head coach. might be the same for basketball.

I'm with you KCM0.

Four years of watching and hoping Odom would become a HC was enough for me. Done...I'm tapped out here watching a wanta-be.

But I'm not too optimistic that Mr. Sterk makes a solid hire. He seems a little thin-skinned to me to work with an alpha. Somebody like Petrino could eat him for lunch and that scares everything tramping around the columns at "beta" Mizzou. I think Sterk would have to wear Depends if he worked with Saban. It will be a safe, warm and fuzzy hire. Forget winning long-term and truly building something lasting. We shall see. I've been wrong before.

I am seeing Gary Pinkel all over again. Meaning Barry Odom will have similar records Gary Pinkel had during his career here at Mizzou. The only way Barry Odom is fired is he have two or more continual losing seasons. Also if fans support are showing very little support. Revenue in the red year after year.
