It’s baffling to me too. The new board makes it awful to find threads and then be complicates it with three different threads he keeps active on coaching search candidates.

I don't really get the whole Fuentes "crashed and burned" at VT thing.

Fuente would be a good hire. Beamer still undermines that program like crazy so he's not having the success he should

Fuente had one bad season at Tech and folks already have him fired. I’d definitely take him off their hands if they want to unload him.

It won't be any of those guys. Gus can't win with 5 star talent. Only an idiot would hire him. Gus that qualifies him for our job. On a serious note. I told you guys a while back that I thought it would be Kiffin. I still think there's a good chance we offer Mike N. But still think that we end up with Lane.

I don't think most Virginia Tech fans want him fired rn. I get they lost to Old Dominion last year when they had a lot of expectarions, but they still made a bowl, they've rebounded in a big way this year, and currently have a solid chance of winnibg their last 2 games and going to the conference championship.

If it’s anything like I remember the basketball search being, heat got turned up on the real candidate (Norvell, Kiffin, or whoever) too early so now someone is floating more options to get the pressure off.
