Yep, same crew worked yesterday's game as 2017 game and the 2017 SEC title game.

Yet, UGA had nearly twice as many penalties as AU and nearly twice as many yards penalized as Auburn. Again.

Surprisingly, the refs called a pretty good game this time, minus a few, which is normal.

Since AU's quite senior-laden on both sides of the ball, the Tigers will have to scour around for other excuses as to why they lose at Dooley Field next year.

has anyone ever figured out what head ref john mcdaid was yelling at the AU sideline about in the 2nd half? I was at hte game but watched the dvr this morning, there was one time where they literally delayed play while he was yelling at gus (some of the convo was picked up on mic but couldn't make anything out) then in the 4th quarter he was getting heated with someone else (not gus) on their sideline as well.

Yes...he was yelling at the Auburn coaches because they were getting in their way on the field.

So he's whining just like your thread yesterday whining about officials? Got it.

Honestly, the frustration of this season has to go somewhere...I'm sure he'd rather talk about Gus' O.

Oh, I wasn't whining...just stating it as it was. I mean, think about it...same crew two years later working the same game at the same place?

Jergens-Hair has a conference-wide rep about visiting teams getting the shovel vs. Auburn and that rep goes back years.

Well. He’s not wrong on the missed calls. But we lost and there’s nothing gonna change it. Sometimes that’s just how it goes.

Same crew as the LSU-AU game I think.

After watching the replay this morning I thought it was one of the better reffed games recently, although I still dont' like the main guy mcdaid. Both teams were called for PI when it called for it but for hte most part they were allowed to play. The only thing AU fans can point to as being questionable is the late drive catch on the sideline, but the guy's heel was oob and he had quesitonable possession during the play. The onside call was 100% the correct call.

He thinks he was held all day when he was really just bitch slapped by the best offensive lineman in college football on every play but the one sack he got when Fromm held the ball for 8 years.

He was wrong about the calls. If the refs favored anyone in the game, it was auburn.

Facemask and 5+ holds. I may rewatch it today but I was at the game so didn’t get to see any replays other than what they show. I’ll never blame the refs for a loss. We had the chance on the field and didn’t do shite for 3 quarters.

“It felt like they were against us,” Davidson said. “I cannot lie about that. It hurts because I feel like some of the calls should’ve went the other way, for sure. They were getting more calls than we got, but (I) can’t speak on the refs; that’s their decision to make. But, you know, it just hurts when you see games being taken away by refs. “You have to beat the refs and the team. That’s very hard to do, no matter what team you are.”

I THINK:

It was after Camarda punted the ball out of bounds and the referee was walking up the sideline for the spot watching the head linesman. He took his eyes off him for a second and missed the headlinesman tell him to stop and spot the ball at the 30 and then spotted it at the 35 or 40. He then had to back up for the proper spot, and one of the assistants was getting on to him and giving him a lot of grief.

I think it was a mixture of embarrassment for making the wrong spot and catching a lot of grief when he tried to get it right.

I'm sensing a pretty strong trend here.
