I don’t see how anyone can make an argument that an 11-1 Alabama is better than a 12-1 Oregon that would have won 12 straight games and pretty much controlled the Auburn game until the final minutes before losing in the final minute.

Would have a better Resume and I’m taking Oregon straight up against Alabama on a neutral field. Oregon scores 40+ easily.

But according the great Pawl, they should automatically gift Bama the 4th spot to prevent Bias. What a clown

They’d have beaten Auburn...easy argument. Oregon would lose 2 games with Bama’s schedule.

ESPN is full of gutter snipes and he is the worse.

That is the sign that REC is in full panic mode.

Doesn’t work like that.

If you play that game, one would think USCe beats UTk and Florida since they beat UGA...

Just because Bama beats Auburn and Auburn beats Oregon, doesn’t equal Bama > Oregon.

See LSU/Auburn/Bama in 13 and 17

Finebaum believes it’s a must-win game for the Crimson Tide. Considering the lack of significant wins on Alabama’s schedule, he thinks that if LSU comes away with the win, the Tide won’t be cracking into the College Football Playoff this year.

“Alabama must win this game,” Finebaum shouted. “Nick Saban is the only coach in the last 80 years to win the national championship without winning his division, that dog’s not going to hunt this time around.”

You are a fricking retard.

LSU beat Auburn in 2017 and 2013. How did that work out for you inbred fricks?

It's amazing how fricking stupid you inbred Louisianans actually are.

Stop fricking your goddamn sisters, please!

So you're lone quality win would, in this scenario, be Auburn. Currently ranked 12th by the committee. No division championship, no conference championship, no quality wins except for Auburn.

Oregon, by winning the PAC12, will also have one quality win....over Utah, currently ranked 7th by the committee. So they'll have a division championship, a conference championship, and a better quality win than Bama.

But you think Bama should get in? Sorry dude, if you look at the way tonight's rankings were laid out, Bama is absolutely fricked. They're setting you guys up for the fall already by having Oregon and Utah right behind you at 6 and 7. One of them will inevitably leapfrog you after the PAC12 championship.

If Bama beats Auburn by multiple scores, it's not a hard argument to make.

Oregon and Utah have zero wins over currently ranked opponents.

Their only prospect is when/if they meet in Santa Clara.

the transitive property does not work in college football. Oregon loses to Auburn at the very end of the game after being dominant most of the game. That game is game #1 played in Atlanta Labor Day weekend. IF bama beats AU, it does not necessarily logically follow that 11-1 alabama deserves the bid over 12-1 conference champs Oregon.

It will utterly amaze me if the committee puts bama #4 and makes LSU play bama in Atlanta. But, after watching LSU beat alabama Saturday in Tuscaloosa, I believe LSU would most likely beat bama again, this time in ATL.

You're telling me that if Bama beat a common opponent by multiple scores that the committee wouldn't notice or give that any weight?

CURRENTLY bama has ZERO quality wins just like the two from the Pac. Oregon and Utah are both in top seven right now. They hold serve and meet in Pac title game the winning teams victory trumps bama's win over auburn. Especially if auburn loses this weekend.

It's really simple. Not something hard like rocket surgery.

bama might have TWO losses with it's schedule. they have one already and just might maybe drop another one before season is done.

So what happens if a 2 loss Georgia beats LSU. By your logic UGA gets in because they beat LSU who Bama lost to

Same to be said for bama

Which would be a higher ranked W than bamas signature win. IF they get it against auburn. So again... division champ, conference champ, and a higher ranked quality win...

how is this hard to understand

Why are you worried about Paul Finebaum? This is the greatest LSU team in history.
