Probably one of the biggest coaching career turnarounds I've seen in college.

Everyone talked about his blowout at Clemson

At LSU he was okay but never felt like a fit

That blow out at Clemson was as much on the O as Steele. They gifted WVU more than 30 points and left the D on the field the entire game.

He's a good fit at Auburn and always seems to have good front 7.

His units have kept Malzahn employed.

He’s been their best coach his entire tenure there

LSU had three drives inside the 30 and came away with no points. Make no mistake: The score was not indicative of the beat down we put on Barner.

That was the plan. Let JB throw underneath, allow the short field to tighten up in the red zone

Had it not been for Kevin Steele's horrible Defense that allowed Clemson to be blown out in the Orange Bowl, Dabo would not have sent him packing and we would not being enjoying the Brent Venables era and probably the 4 CFP appearances and 2 national titles.

He has been excellent at Auburn and doesn't get enough credit for the LB development during his tenure at LSU IMHO.

yep. His d got torched again. Lsu playcalling on short yardage situations was puzzling. Completely unimaginative and les miles like

Don’t sell AU’s redzone defense short. They defended the short field really well.

He was coaching one of the least talented defenses (by LSU standards) in my lifetime. He was behind the 8 ball as soon as as he got to Baton Rouge so who knows what he could have done with just an average LSU defense.

This identifies the fan with absolutely zero clue about football.
