Is the staff that shortsighted? One ACL injury to Igbo and we could be screwed. With LSU and Bama and others running 4 WR sets, we really need numbers on that end.

Ole Miss was optimistic that Kiffin could do a number on Pegues if he visited last weekend, but he never showed up after the Alabama- Mississippi All star game.

The battle still seems to be down to Auburn and Bama. We are getting the CBs so far.

Great example of why you recruit until they sign.

Kentucky wouldn’t be surprised if Flax chose Auburn or Kentucky it seems. Auburn leads in both the CBs and futurecasts (rivals,) but interesting that all of the Kentucky guys on rivals are predicting Kentucky. KN says Kentucky tightened up the race after his OV this past weekend.

Talk on the UGA board is that they expect to lose Broderick Jones. Is Auburn definitely where he would end up in that scenario, or is there another player here? Also, he is an early signee or waiting till Feb?

Jones is supposed to announce in February.

It does look like it will be Auburn or Georgia. Not sure if he visits anywhere else

I think they’re trolling us. As far as I can tell none of the talk from the UGA boards on Jones potentially flipping is from the recruiting reporters

Flax announces on twitter on Tuesday at 5 CT. Between Auburn and Kentucky and we are heavily favored. If we get him that would make 4 of top 6 juco OTs committed to Auburn.

Did he cancel his OV to UK? If he went it was super quiet

From Kentucky 247
quote:

Kentucky went all-in this past week when they made a visit to the home of Independence C.C. (Kan.) offensive tackle Jeremy Flax's mother in Michigan as well as visiting Flax, himself, in Kansas on the same day. They followed that up with what could only be described as a great official visit this weekend. The offensive lineman appreciates how the Wildcats have recruited his mother and was also blown away by the family atmosphere he witnessed in Lexington. Kentucky and Auburn are in the mix here. It would not surprise me if either were the choice. He intends to announce his decision Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET.

Just went Bunkering. A poster theorized on Brian George that Iggy told the staff he was staying & thus the staff doesn't see a need in taking another CB, or at least another juco CB. A connected who usually gets good info liked the post FWIW.

Good theory, but I don't thnk we would back off from taking a cb just because Iggy is staying. There's usually always attrition or injury at the position.

George's issues with committing have been documented and my guess is he wouldn't commit so staff moved on.

Searched on twitter. Two or three posts said 8am. May be wrong.

Added Eric Reed Jr. 10am on Wednesday.

If this is the case, they learned a LOT from the Pickens ordeal. I'm stoked they have started doing this, as with Javon, assuming that's the case. It suggests gus is growing as a coach, and from an old dog who has resisted learning new tricks... this could show promise in other areas.

It isn't Height might flip, at this point if he doesn't I think the AU coaches would be shocked if he didn't. Also, Canion isn't flipping.
