A&M (-6) @ Ole Miss.

I think OM wins this outright. I never in a million years would have said this at the beginning of the season.

But here are the facts.

A&M has beaten Texas State, Lamar, and Arkansas. Only one of which is a conference foe, but that win gets automatically forgotten because its a team that lost to San Jose State.

That is without a doubt the saddest and most unfulfilling group of wins you could see.

Any time they have been met with opposition , they have crumbled.

I am not knocking A&M the program or anything like that. This is purely factual.

On to Ole Miss. They boast a much more convincing win against Arkansas. Other wins include Southeastern LA and Vandy. Also not an impressive batch of wins.

However. Ole Miss has found the fit at QB. Plumlee has 470 yards on the ground . One less than the teams RB. This is nothing short of impressive.

The kid needs one crease and its a 75 yard gain. Transition year or not, Jimbo cannot lose this game, and Luke knows that a win against A&M at home will show that OM is on the correct track.

31-28 Ole Miss.

Red zone will be the difference because I know both teams wont be stopped between the 20s.

But of the two, I see the biggest improvement from OM.

Hard to call it an "upset".

We’re both unranked. I wouldn’t consider it an upset. An upset would be losing to Troy at home or something similar

Wouldn't be shocked if OM won but I think A&M takes this one.

I initially found it impossible to say A&M would go 3-4, but it looks quite likely.

You and I have different definitions of facts.

Other than that, I completely agree with your post. Close game 'til the end.

The three wins are not impressive and A&M has fallen to the handful of good teams theyve played. This isnt factual?

Has a fan of one school ever predicted their team will be the one upset?
No, they always predict one of their rivals to be the one upset

The fact that your prediction doesn't shock me actually amazes me.

A sports upset by definition is the team that is expected to win (the favorite) losing to the underdog.

Apparently that definition is lost on some. This would be an upset.

Especially given the stories. OM is barely off probation and A&M just dropped 75 mil on a shiny new stud coach.

These two programs could not be any more different in terms of program stability.

That’s upsetting with a $75 million coach.

Heading towards a .500 season with a $75 million coach, is upsetting.

Actually, I don’t see a .500 season. That’s upsetting

I can see it. Big moral victory at home against Alabama. Now they have to go on the road this week.

Serious potential for a let down after the momentum built last week.

As with most things ...what is left out tells as much of the story

Yes they have beaten only cupcakes (sorry Ark.) But ...their losses are to teams ranked (AP at game time) #1, #1 (..and teams that have won combined last four national championships) and the #8 team. If polls are correct, there are only 7 teams in the country that wouldn't be 3 and 3 with that schedule

We Mizzou fans do it all the time. In fact, because we are Mizzou, we always assume we will be upset.
