But kicked Bama and UGAs arse. But of course we kept hearing how they were unbeatable in JHS.

Maybe Gus can dropping the only top 10 game on our schedule then beg on tv to get into the playoffs. It worked for some other team.

Again, from the OP's question, what has changed from the player's perspective on the season?
Their thoughts could go from trophies to money!

What does that have to do with the OP's question? Was it less absurdly hard prior to the Florida game or something?

True- AU's outlook didn't change .001%. The UF game was meaningless from that perspective- win or lose.

Not that I saw. The discussion was about having a shot at the playoffs.

Pay attention, SkyKing.
WE were talking about Auburn NOT running the table in '17....and WTF does JHS have to do with anything?

...which everyone has said would require Auburn to run the table for the rest of the season, including the SECCG, so.....

The rest of the season...probably.
Unlikely, but definitely not impossible. Bo Nix and the OL and the running game needs to improve and improve quickly.

Did you see the movie Dumb and Dumber with a Jim Carey scene that reminds me of your post.

Mathematically Missouri or South Carolina could make the playoffs, but are you gonna really give them any chance?...HELL NO! Get real!

Under this premise, South Carolina and Missouri BOTH also have a "chance" to make the playoffs....you starting to get the picture now?

Dude, you're a walking cliche of the prototypical bad poster. Why can't you just post like a normal person and have a normal conversation about football?

The AU/Florida game was closer than you think. Both team had spouts of bad playing, yes. Bo played extremely bad. I don't think he could play any worse than he did Saturday. He left points on the field, threw like 20 bad passes, just a bad game. It happens. We knew it would be low scoring game, and every point would be tough for both teams. And we gave Florida the ball on the 2 yard line after screwing up a punt return.

The LSU game will the tell game for AU. If AU loses that game, then I'm sure that may do it our chances, but if AU pulls that out, then AU is back in it. That would be a huge momentum shift from right now.

Still many games left. Like I said in my previous post, the offense will need to improve a lot for us. And also, like I said, I believe the Florida defense will be the best defense we see this year. UGA defense is damn good too.

Don't go full retard. You don't really believe we are on the same level as Mizzou and South Carolina, do you? Never mind, you are a moron, so you probably do.

Freshman QB, at night (probably), in Tiger Stadium.

Running tables seems extremely unlikely.

I've brought reality to you and stuck it in your face, so I'm a "bad poster". The closeness of the AU/FLA game has NOTHING to do with the fact that it was a LOSS for Auburn, now they can't afford to lose another game for the rest of the year while having to play, LSU, Alabama, and Georgia TWICE!
Now if you want to hang on to that "hope" fine, but don't be surprised if some of your players consciously, or subconsciously, don't begin to prepare for the draft and all that $$$$ they'll be getting.

Yes, you are. You can't have a reasonable discussion at all without your crimson glasses.

Damn son, chill out. You rely on mathematics to keep Auburn in the hunt, but won't use the same reasoning with other teams! Don't be such a homer! You can bet your arse that there are some Auburn players (especially Dlinemen) who are starting to daydream about the upcoming draft and all that money they'll be getting if they just stay healthy.

You do understand what zero means right? Auburn still has a shot at making the playoffs. It might not be a big one but it's without a doubt not "zero." This shouldn't have to be broken down and explained to anyone using the internet without parental controls
