Hard to believe that UGA & UT have met only 48 times in their histories

A lot of people don't realize that, although Athens & Knoxville are only 234 miles apart, they never played annually until 1992 (talk about bad SEC scheduling).
The series is currently tied @23-23-2. However, until 1992, the programs had only met a total of 21 times! Unbelievable.
Prior to 1992, UGA led the series, 10-9-2. While the Vols went on a great run of excellence during the 1990's, UGA went on a run of mediocrity during the decade.
By the end of the '90's, UT had shot out to an 17-10-2 series lead.
But, the 2000's haven't been kind to the Big Orange. Since the start of this century, UGA has gone 13-6 vs. UT, thus tying the series last year in Athens.
Two recent contests have been quite memorable. In 2016, UGA scored with 10 seconds left to go ahead, 31-28. But, UT's QB then threw a bomb (letting it loose with zero seconds on the clock) half the length of the football field and had their hail Mary answered and won, 34-31.
Two years ago, UGA dropped a bomb on Neyland and walked away with a 41-0 win, the worst home loss ever for the Vols.
I know the Vols aren't laying down for us and I know our team isn't taking them lightly nor taking anything for granted in this game. I'm not either.
GO DAWGS! SIC'EM! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!

We have to play perfectly and still would only have like a 2% chance

Old rivalries were lost (Auburn vs. Florida, Auburn vs. Tennessee) and other picked up Auburn - LSU. Still for old school guys like me I miss the days of playing Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee every year. (Playing everyone in the SEC Big 6 every year except LSU).

Georgia will beat Tennessee worse than 41-0 this year.
Even with that, you still can’t have our water; pls stop trying to steal it.

When VOLS were ruling football in the south from the beginning of time until 1990 (along with Bama), Georgia did all they could to avoid VOLS.
There’s a reason their only legitimate title occurred when General Neyland and the real men of the SEC were off fightin Nazis and Japs.

There’s one team in the East that has been even remotely relevant in the 21st century and it isn’t Georgia

There was time on the clock. BUT there was major offense interference that was not called. Bygones now. UT is a dumpster fire.

I was referring to the fact he had the year wrong.

They were busy putting together a losing record vs Georgia during that time
