“Well, my hat’s off to them. We really appreciate what they do. I don’t think anybody really realizes how difficult it is for fans, how many issues that we really have. I wish that some of the TV people and people from our conference would come, at any stadium, in these kinds of conditions and know that it’s really difficult for the fans.”

“This is an entertainment business that we’re in. I mean, people come to see the games because they enjoy Alabama football and they enjoy the tradition. But they also want to be entertained and see good football, and I think when the circumstances and conditions of the game are very difficult for them, I think you negate some of those positives.

“But we really do appreciate what they do — we always have. Just this year, it’s been a little hotter than normal and stayed hotter for longer, and we’ve had — fortunately or unfortunately — all afternoon games so far, so it’s kind of unfortunate for the fans.”

knowing with 100% certainty you're going to win at least 11 of your 12 regular season games isn't very entertaining. You want the fans to show up and get loud how about dialing back the talent level a few notches.

Nobody's had a tougher go than Bama fans over the last decade.

No one would care about the heat if every home game was semi competitive. We have a playoff now, the next plateau College Football needs to reach is sensible scheduling. No cupcakes.

I mean, he's not wrong. It sucks.

Factor in tv timeouts and routine 4+ hour running times and TV has really made it hard for the fans.

Maybe Saban can start a dialogue about these issues next.

Saban once complained about playing on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and now this.

No one is going to have any sympathy for us, but the man has a point. Football is much more fun and electric when it's played at night. Some of the loudest Alabama games I have ever been to took place at night.

Sitting down - doing nothing - while watching football in the sun - likely stuffing their faces with BBQ nachos and sipping on their big gulps.

These are the difficult circumstances and conditions that Alabana fans are facing 5-6 times a year.

We should set up a GoFundMe to help them through these difficult times!

clearly. If you went out on the town at 8pm are you saying it'd be impossible to be drunk by midnight? 4 hours is 4 hours.

You want evening games? Quite scheduling cupcakes and garbage p5 opponents in football to Pad the win loss record. No one wants to see bama blow out New Mexico State during prime time tv.

And don’t give me the line about “no one wants to play us”. bullshite. Good schools will line up to play bama with the exposure and experience it will give them.
