Yes. The OL had a ot of injuries. So a DT was moved to the OL just to give them a guy who could snap the damn ball.
That meant that a selfish dumb arse who got himself suspended for 8 games had to use one of the 4 he was eligible to play in.
However, you all know state fans. They suck. Everything is bad and reality is not one of their strong suits.

no explanation needed for rational folks
Top 2 centers injured and a DT started at center, had to have him on DL or start 2 freshmen.
not optimal but understandable
