I honestly don’t get it. Both schools have a lot in common. I work with a ton of A&M guys who are great people. And we always get along. Why this level of unbridled hatred?

Hatred? What are you talking about?

What do I like most about the joining the SEC? The chance to see some of the top football schools in the nation come to town. Much respect for Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi State, etc. I would say LSU, but some of their fans have really become disrespectful over the past year.

What do I miss most about leaving the Big 12? The enjoyment of beating kansas in football.

You should have known this. Money Texas and OU and some others got more support and help over the Northern schools. Missouri was losing the recruiting battle and was in need to get out of the Big 12. That is what saved Missouri when SEC accepted Missouri. It changed everything. I do not have any link but it is why Colorado and Nebraska left. This proved it was a huge disadvantage for the Northern schools. Big 12 is more of a league in its own in Texas. It is not fair but that is what was killing the Northern schools. SEC is so balance that it is not focus on one State like Texas.

That's because the school is in fricking missouri. It's not a conspiracy that you weren't recruiting as well as Texas schools.

It's not like y'all are recruiting much better now that you're in the SEC.

I'd agree that the Big 12 focused a lot on their cash cow, which is the state of texas. But I don't believe that there was some grand conspiracy to take down the north schools.

Texas and the State of Texas have had control of the Big 12 for a long time. That have stop since they realize that was destroying the Big 12 in general.

Colorado left because they wanted to beat Baylor to the new Pac-16, joining TEXAS, et al. The Longhorns turned down the Pac so Colorado jumped the gun.

This is all fact.

Missouri tried to join the Big 10 in the early 90s. How can you spin that fact against TEXAS, hoss?

The SEC is very glad and honored to have Missouri & Texas A&M--two very fine academic and athletic schools! Welcome!

Mizzou tried to join the Big 10 in 2011 too. Didn't work out too well for them...

Miss the history that only comes from longevity.

Most like the unity of the conference. It's unreal here. UTs ego broke the B12s back.

Oh look, Smart Post is back. I guess lying about your team sabotaging the AC for the LSU game wasn't enough.

Wait? What?

Larry Scott publicly said you were not invited and would not be invited because the pac 12 had determined that texas university was dishonest and untrustworthy

Please don’t try to continue to foster your reputation of dishonesty here by lying about that

If I read you wrong then I apologize. I just thought there was a sense of hatred in your message. I actually like A&M. I like their values, and I especially like their involvement in the military.

2 things I don't care for the SEC is meaningless basketball games, but has gotten much better, and the rotation of football games across divisions. No reason that we shouldn't play each team at least once in a four year span.

Living in KC, its in the heart of old Big 8 country. I can't trash talk my neighbors or coworkers about the big game anymore.

Wow, TH. You sure are making Marge look like a fool-not that she isn’t daily on these boards.
