Nix threw the pass to Cannella. Next play was an RPO, he keeps it and strolls into the endzone untouched. He trots over to the sideline and before he can get there Gus is screaming at him pointing at the field. What was that about?

Probably the bad read he made on the first read option

Missed that on the replay, was it a bad read on a RPO before the touchdown then.
Just seemed kinda extreme for a kid who just performed a perfect read, nice way to chop his confidence off at the knees.

Coach's son...cannot imagine he's not has his butt chewed off before.
Three games in and he's gotten away with a few things (more or less) that he will not be able to get away with starting this Saturday.

It wasn’t a bad read but a bad decision. He tried to kick outside on that run, to avoid getting hit, instead of just running into the end zone. Looked like Gus was telling him to punch it in. Fire the kid up a little. Don’t be afraid of contact.

That's what I saw also. If he cuts it up the field it's a TD.

Yeah the play before he scored he had a running lane off tackle and he tried to outrun the DB to the edge.

It was a horrible throw too.
