Is Burrow's start to the season the most impressive since RGIII's 2011 season?

Speaking from the standpoint of yards and efficiency completing pass attempts:

2011 RGIII through 3 games
69-81 (85%)
962 Passing Yards
13 TD, 0 Int
237.9 Passer Eff

2019 Joe Burrow through 3 games
75-90 (83%)
1,122 Passing Yards
11 TD, 2 Int
223.9 Passer Eff

I went back to 2010 to see how many QBs had a higher completion percentage after 3 games... RGIII and Burrow top that list.

Burrow has done this while only attempting 27 passes in the 2nd half this year, which is 10th in the SEC. Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa has attempted 28, Kellen Mond leads the SEC in 2nd half pass attempts with 47.

Now, up to this point, RGIII only attempted 18 2nd half passes.

Since 2010, the only SEC QB with more passing yards up to this point in a season is Shea Patterson in 2017 (1,281). However, Patterson had 122 attempts to Burrow's 90.

Burrow is also one of the most efficient QBs in the nation in the red zone this year: 11-14, 8 TDs and 0 INTs. Only Oregon's Herbert has more TD passes.

If not Burrow's start, then perhaps Jalen's start?

We all enjoy the build up because the higher y’all climb the farther you fall.

I’d say Joe Burrow is the greatest QB to play the game if I’m being 100% honest.

Interesting.

We’re going to have to rename to position from quarterback to wholeback, because Burrow is the total package.

Did you see the rantards on the scoreboard last night? They were screaming for aranda to be fired at halftime . As an LSU fan, I don’t expect an undefeated season. I do expect the team to be highly competitive in all games though.

Bama game will be close with possible ot. Just have to give benefit of the doubt to bama with the recent history of the game

Like UGA to Hurts last year right?

Or UGA to Tua the year before right?

Did I do that right?

Anything pro LSU will be auto-downvoted, just a heads up. The fear is very, very real.

You’re probably right, but you know us LSU fans — we like to stay measured and not start our boasting too early.

When was Geno Smith at West Virginia? That was the all timer.
