There isn’t a dominant defense in the SEC this season, at least so far.

Alabama, LSU, and Georgia are the clear top 3 teams.

Tua vs Burrow could determine the Heisman, depending on if Hurts hasn’t locked it up by then (he’s making cupcake defenses look foolish right now)

The ACC is hot garbage.

Pretty much in a nutshell.

Also, need UGA to spank ND this coming Saturday.

You should rename this thread “I want this to be true” ... keep that homerism out of here

Says there’s no good defenses in the SEC

Discounts Hurts by saying he’s abusing “big 12 defenses” that are just as good as SEC defenses....

All the while OU hasn’t played a single big 12 defense yet...

As for Heisman, I think a lot of people won’t vote for Hurts on principle alone- so that the Heisman doesn’t become an Oklahoma system award.

I don’t think it’s that the defenses are “bad” as much as that the game has changed. It’s an offense friendly game now. RPOs and rule changes have made it much harder for defenses.

The Rise of Sparkle Snake is real and the rest of the SEC will soon fear the Biebs.

Georgia we are assuming good but their schedule has been pathetically bad. It's probably a fair assumption but we will know this week just how good they are.

I think it’s partly because a LOT of talent was drafted. The SEC had seven defensive players drafted in the1st round.

Alabama, Kentucky, and Miss St. were Top 10 defenses last year. UK had 3 players drafted from their defense, including Josh Allen. MSU had 5 players drafted, including 3 first rounders.

Bama has the talent and depth to usually be able to bounce back after losing 5 players on defense, but injuries and youth has really impacted them so far.
