the South Carolina Fighting Gamecocks are #1 in the Nation in Rushing

yards per carry at 9.0 ypc. the Fighting Gamecocks have scored 9 rushing TD in 2 games, to rank 3rd in the Nation.
South Carolina is the lone SEC team to average more than 300 rush yards per game. only 5 SEC teams average more than 200 rush yards per game - 3 are SEC East schools - USC, UGA & UK.

as for scoring offenses in the league, South Carolina joins Alabama, Georgia & LSU as the only 4 teams to average 46 or more points per game. no other SEC team averages more than 38 ppg.
the SEC's top 2 ranked overall offenses will clash Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium when Alabama visits Columbia to try and knock off the Fighting Gamecocks.
the last time the Tide traveled East to Carolina, they rushed for a total of 37 yards and failed to score a rushing TD. the Fighting Gamecocks put up 110 on the ground along with 2 TD by way of the run en route to a 35-21 win - which ended Alabama's then 19 game unbeaten streak.

I think Kevin Harris will be a force to be reckoned with as he gets more in-game experience under his belt. Tavien..I'm kinda unsure about what to think there and what to expect from him the remainder of this year. So far it's been pretty meh.

He had 72 yards on 13 carries and a TD against UNC
That’s 5.5 YPC
Didn’t get many carries against CSU
Still had 64 yards on 6 carries
That’s 10.7 YPC
136 on 19 carries is a pretty damn good line

there was time a couple of years ago when nobody except super elite backs like Chubb went for a 100 on Bama, but several teams have done it over the last couple of years. Just hasn't been the usual brick wall running on the Bama defense lately. That being said, the offense more than makes up for it now.
