“Supporting cast...” any QB who says this kind of remark is either full of himself and is asking for a mutiny at some point or is a big dumbass

He sounded rehearsed and fake AF.

Of course the sports media will eat it up.

Imagine you’re one of his receivers, the best on the team, and you see this interview and he’s calling you a supporting case member. It would rub me the wrong way

He is the alpha male and a captain of that team. His role is to push everybody and make them better and champions. Not to let them get the big head because he knows how shitty that defense was he played against. He knows good defenses because he has 3 years of SEC experience.

FWIW he said “surrounding cast” not “supporting cast”. Very different sentiment

He said surrounding cast. And he’s what? 21-22? He’s not exactly Brady or Brees experienced in front of a mic yet.

Touché. I doubt that’s what he meant, tho.

I promise that you are a making an issue where there isn't one. Jalen is the ultimate team player and I assure you that while he is confident and assertive, he isn't a selfish player and he isn't a douche that thinks he alone is the reason the offense had a great night. He played a huge leadership role on last year's Bama team even as a second string player. I hope he does enough to warrant a top draft pick and if Tua doesn't win the Heisman, I hope Jalen does. He has worked hard to be where he is and he deserves any accolades heading his way.

This is Du-Rag Jalen and I’m fricking here for it. He was a team player at Bama and did enough smiling and nodding for a lifetime behind Tua. This is his time.

He beat LSU like a drum when he played for Bama and I have nothing but love for the kid. All class. Wishing him nothing but success at OU.

From what I have seen and read about JH he is a fine young man who most poeple would love for their son to emulate. He is a class individual and speaking for most Bama fans we wish him only the best.
