I think this gig borders on being my second dream job ... right before professional puppy walker and right after full-time vodka tester.
No patronizing at all meant towards the field staff guys who undoubtedly work their tails off; my glass is raised to them in perpetuity.
But, mercy.
Heat and humidity be damned, I’d eagerly pay homage in this manner to the sacred grass of Kyle and perform this job for free.
One more day, lads and lasses.

Granted, my results would likely resemble something akin to this:

Wouldn't think you were. A couple buddies and I in school used to talk about how awesome Leo Goertz's job was and how much we admired those lawns.

My fish camp in '06 was named for him.
Camp Goertz! With his name stylized as the Hertz car rental logo

The summer after I turned 16 and could legally work, I got a job keeping up the fields at the local little league baseball complex. It was mostly mowing, and then getting it ready on game days. I look back on it as one of the most enjoyable jobs I ever had.
A few times when an umpire couldn't make it, I would step in and be a substitute umpire. That part was horrible. The kids were pretty good, but the parents and managers were terrible. This was back in 1982, but I don't think their behavior has improved any.

Not nerdy!
I'd guarantee you most Ags can.
I remember mine as both a camper and a counselor.

Never went back as a counselor. How'd it compare to being a camper?
I did Impact as a camper and a counselor. Hung out a lot with the Cotton twins (the DudePerfect guys). Great times.

Nothing compares to fish year.
Most of the "counselor experience" takes place socializing during the spring semester preceding FC, rather than at camp.

Will it say "Texas Aggies" in the end zone, like it always and forever SHOULD?
