This is the correct answer.
Thats the best decision they ever made. The Big 12 is a shithole from a negotiating stand point. All those schools are getting financial taken advantage of.

They should have made it missouri and texas A&M.
It was until a few years ago. They wanted to manufacture a Mizzou/Arkansas rivalry so they switched out TAMU with Arkansas. Texas A&M and USC even play for a trophy that is actually older than the rivalry itself. They'd never played each other until this switch happened and the trophy was created before the first game was played to give it some intrigue. Spurrier made a few jokes about it. It's dumb but ultimately done so that UGA and Auburn and Alabama and Tennessee can continue their games.

Here's the perfect example.
In 2009, Texas A&M was the least-televised team in College Football. There were six regular season games that year where it was not possible to view the game on any channel anywhere. They weren't televised on ABC all season, despite language in the Big 12 TV contract requiring all schools to have at least one game on ABC.
Here was that schedule:
vs. New Mexico: Radio Only
vs. Utah State: Radio Only
vs. UAB: Radio Only
vs. Arkansas (Arlington): ESPN2
vs. Oklahoma State: Fox Sports Net
at Kansas State: Fox College Sports - Central (special PPV subscription package only)
at Texas Tech: Radio Only
vs. Iowa State: Radio Only
at Colorado: Fox College Sports - Central (see above)
vs. Baylor: Radio Only
vs. t.u.: ESPN
Even in the 2010 season, when A&M tied for first in the Big 12 South, they had four games not televised at all that season (Stephen F. Austin, Louisiana Tech, Florida International, Texas Tech) and three games only regionally televised (at Kansas, at Baylor, vs. Nebraska)

Hey now. The Battle of the Jizz Covered State Capital is an important rivalry in College Football.

Is it any surprise that the realignment actions kicked into overdrive right before the 2010 season?

Lee had 4 touchdowns vs 14 interceptions his senior year
Nick threw 21 touchdowns in his second season

The profit sharing is not equal throughout the conference and they allowed Texas to get its own network. But yeah its totally equal.

UT, OU and Kansas for sure.
Has TAMU made more in the SEC than they would have by staying in the B12 yet?

It is all about passing percentage. Nothing else.

A&M has made more in the 7 years they've been in the SEC than they made in the 16 they were in the big 12.

It is now.

Yes, it is, except for third-tier rights. Which leads to...

they allowed Texas to get its own network.
Correction: The 3/4-plus majority of conference members (including aggy) voted to allow each school to get its own network.
