ocial media grabbed it days before the game, and your AD had to give McElwain the kiss of death beforehand (we stand by our coach... those are rumors).
Never a good look for the AD.
Never a good feeling for the coach when the AD feels so much pressure that he has to comment.
Yeah, but Georgia didn't get him fired. What got him fired (among many other things) were the Death Threats -- if he didn't report them to the school and someone got murdered on our team, it would be death penalty levels of scrutiny and outrage.
All I was correcting is 42 - 7 didn't get him fired, he was toast well before that game.

Id agree....you could tell going into that game it was already a done deal.

The school had already put their fork in them, they didn't even want to give him the chance. Kind of good for us, though, that he crash and burned so hard so we could get someone new. Firing coaches is a bitch these days.

As long as y’all are still making threads about him. Champ and Mac never had this much headspace on the rant. Seems the fear is still strong.

Why is this place so fricking sensitive? All I did was ask a question regarding the expectations of the Florida fan base. Nothing more, nothing less.

Exactly, not like Muschamp who pretty much stopped recruiting and just waited to be fired.

Ill throw Richt in there. That was tough.

Gator fans, what is the leash for Mullen?
Until this happens ...

Sounds like you’re the one getting sensitive over my reply. So question is why are you so sensitive?

Man, Richt did the same thing at Miami, too. Can't believe how much he lost the will to coach. Meyer left us high and dry, but at least he was out almost immediately after one bad season.
Muschamp seems to have found his home at South Carolina, though, and looks happy with the lowered expectations.
McElwain will never get a P5 coaching job ever again.
Needless to say, I really hope Mullen works out.

Loafers (scott striklin) won't fire Mullins. They will have to fire loafers first.

You’re not wrong, Stricklin and Mullen seem to be a package deal. My man Stricklin can raise some money though. It’s pretty much a 180 degree turn from Foley.

Yes,musta been just a horrible S&C program

when he was there.

That happened LONG before Miami.

Do gator fans think Mullen can win a championship at Florida?

His players literally went to off campus gyms. Other sports coaches complained to the administration about how bad the program was. We had an absurd amount of injuries, had players who literally had the same bench in their freshman year as their senior. It was terrible to watch. The muscle growth of the current roster has been incredible. Our WR core looks insane. Our DE's look like freaks. Something that wasn't happening under Mac.
