I really didn't think he'd be the guy but I it looks like Barry is building some thing special. Improved play on the field each season and improved recruiting each off season. I really thought this program would be in a tail spin after Pinkel left but now I'm beginning to think that BO will build off of what Gary built to make the program better.

Good to see him getting the in state kids. If I recall most of the offensive starters on the 07 team outside of Chase were MO kids.

my personal approval rating for BO is probably around 80%, with a 10+ win season he'll approach 90%. Just two years ago, even tho I always enjoyed him id say he was around 40%.
Keep proving people wrong, coach.

Kuligowski went from being the pass-rushing guru in college football to unemployed in 3 years.
The pass rush was always great but his defensive tackle technique was sloppy at best.

I'm still taking a wait and see attitude with Odom. Good job on recruiting this year, but let's see him sustain it over time. He still has work to do on in game coaching.

Brian Baker is the defensive line coach at Alabama. Alabama is paying Craig kuligowski to not coach there.

Yep. Definitely something going on with that situation.
Boy, he could work with raw material and turn it into something special.
That said, it appears he does not play well with other coaches.
AND more importantly, the technique he teaches is boom or bust, with no room (ability?) to adjust for what the other team is doing.
Auburn beat us like a drum in the SEC Champ game running what, 2 plays (3?) all game long. And do I dare mention the bowl no shows against the Navy and Iowa running offenses?
Not all on the D-line, but they were a big part of the problem in those games.

So now we are able to stop the run but don't have a good pass rush. And I do miss Pinkel's seemingly endless supply of first round D ends
