Tennessee (1998)
It was shot across the state....not the SEC.

One national title out of three undefeated seasons. Impressive.

NO-NO-NO! Little 12 play doesnt count!

The big 12 did not even exist in 1994, genius.

Sorry...but you have to count a tie with an SMU team that went 0-6-1 in conference and 1-9-1 overall as a loss.

No we don't.

Not all of us can backdoor our way into the NC (even without winning our division). All you can do is beat everyone on your schedule.

SMU's only win that season was over Franchione's New Mexico Team...
So, they beat Coach Fran and they tied A&M, and lost to everyone else they played.

Actually, back then, all you could do was beat (and not tie) everyone on your schedule.

So?
A tie is a tie. We had no overtime back then.
Any given Saturday.
It's not a loss.
That is the very definition of undefeated.

A rather selective history category there. AU was the only unbeaten team that year...too bad y'all were on probation for cheating = no bowls, TV, etc.

93 for Auburn doesn't really count IMO, as it's an undefeated REGULAR season only. No SEC championship, no bowl game. It's a hell of a lot easier to go "undefeated" when you duck multiple games against some of the hardest opponents of the year.
Many SEC teams have gone undefeated in the regular season and then lost in the postseason.
1994 Alabama
1995 Florida
2008 Alabama
2009 Florida
2011 LSU
2016 Alabama
2018 Alabama
All did what 93 Auburn did, undefeated regular season.
