Interim Chancellor.. Interim Athletic Director, a former basketball player who stomps on the baseball coaches face. Rumors that there's a fierce battle behind the scenes about who the next Chancellor should be. The old guard wants a button down conservative who won't shake things up. The anti Confederate side wants a Tinhorn Liberal who wants to bring a left-wing mindset to campus. It's a mess there right now.

The Chancellor is chosen by an independent committee and not by anyone affiliated directly with the university. Same as MSU and other public universities. Nice try though.

Pal shut up. I know how the system works. The college board is appointed by the governor. It's political. Every damn body is pulling in the direction they want the selection to go.

I'd love for Mississippi to elect a governor that will change the state flag. And I would 100% put up with him or her for 4 more years if he or she just did that one thing

Idk if you live in Mississippi or not. But I promise you one thing. The reason the radical Republicans love Mississippi having their state flag is because they don't have to deal with the consequences, they can continue to take advantage of Mississippi like they have always done.

Well no. Mississippi is like North Carolina in the sense that the public schools are all under 1 board unlike say Alabama.
And for the most part that's not been a good thing for MSU

As A native Mississippian I humbly disagree with you. Our state flag is in no way shape or form racist. People look for attention 90% of the time when they pull the race card out. I promise you that 90% of every day people that live here look at that flag and do not think a damn thing of it. Also PARTS of our state flag resemble the confederate flag. The top left corner. Like this is a really really dumb take.

It's affecting industries coming into the state which is why every other State has and will continue to surpass Mississippi. And every other Southeast state loves that Mississippi continues to raise that flag.
The NCAA won't even award events in the state. You look at the success South Carolina had once they got rid of it and the NCAA bent over backwards for them. And that's something that will immediately impact MS.
But I guess ya know my heritage and shite. Worth it to continue to keep Mississippi last. Just like Reeves whining about an ugly licence plate he created.
