Talent and expirence is there...let's see if Diaz can get em focused. What LSU did yo them last has no bearing on your game in August...

Somebody hasn’t been paying attention to recruiting rankings the past few years.

We should comfortably beat them just like LSU did last year. They aren't very good.
Richt was soft. He is gone. Stil, LSU only scored 26 O points.

Heh heh. That's the truth right there. Grantham sucks at adjusting to what the OC is doing.
Nauta caught four passes in a row right before the half because Grantham failed to adjust his two minute defense even when UGA found the hole.
Copy paste from the game log:
1st & 10 at UGA 20
(0:45 - 2nd) Jake Fromm pass complete to Isaac Nauta for 27 yds to the Geo 47 for a 1ST down
1st & 10 at UGA 47
(0:35 - 2nd) Jake Fromm pass complete to Isaac Nauta for 7 yds to the Fla 46
2nd & 3 at FLA 46
(0:26 - 2nd) Jake Fromm pass complete to Isaac Nauta for 23 yds to the Fla 23 for a 1ST down
1st & 10 at FLA 23
(0:15 - 2nd) Jake Fromm pass complete to Isaac Nauta for 9 yds to the Fla 14
(0:15 - 2nd) Timeout FLORIDA, clock 00:15

LSU was in cruise control the entire second half of the game. It was 33 - 3 going into the 4Q and 27 - 3 going into the 3Q. Much like Texas vs. Georgia, they knew they were outclassing you and just took their foot off of the pedal.
Also, first year HCs with a garbage QB room rarely come out and do very well. He might do well in a few years, but this year Miami would be fortunate to bowl if they were playing in any P5 conference outside of the ACC.

40+ offensive points in game 1 vs what should be a solid defense is an ambitious goal. Y’all had a hard enough time doing that to a terrible Florida st defense in the final game last year, but Miami isn’t sec, which is where your offense really struggled last year, so maybe it happens.

Perceptions are a funny thing, as is hindsight. Going into last season Florida was thought to have a garbage QB room, were they not?

Miami's entire season rests with one game. Florida.
We are the only team that is on their schedule who finished the 2018 season ranked and we were top 10 at that. They also probably hate us more than any other team, so you can bet we are going to get the kitchen sink thrown at us. They might be our 5th most important game, maybe.
With FSU and Va Tech down, their next toughest game will be Duke or Virginia who both went 8-5 in 2018. You can bet dollars to donuts that we are going to get their very best shot, as they would do anything to win this game.

Georgia will simply reload. They have been stockpiling talent. Specifically, they have Robertson, Cager, and like 7-8 other guys who could play. They will have a good passing game, no doubt.
Florida, on the other hand, has zero difference makers on offense. Questionable passer. Average WRs. Decent but unexciting RB.
Hell I'd bet on Kentucky to win the East before Florida.

Someone is unaware of Florida’s offense

Personally, I'm calling for a blowout. You have an SEC Caliber HC with pretty much the exact same team from head to toe -- same OC, same DC (that he's had for years) with the same QB, almost the entire WR Corps, RB and some question marks on the OL. The defense has some new guys but they had been playing a lot last year and should fit right in with no problem whatsoever.
On the other side, you have a first year HC who has never run a team trying to fix an absolutely abysmal offense. Worst yet, he's not some QB guru or offensive coordinator, he's a defensive coordinator trying to run an offense. Kirby inherited a decisively better team for his first year than what Miami has at the moment.
Enos is a decent hire, but not an outstanding OC in his own regard -- anyone looks good at Alabama (including McElwain). Their DC has zero years of experience in P5 as a DC.
Florida has more experience, talent and cohesion on its team. It would be a serious indictment against Mullen if he couldn't beat a team that's pretty much in shambles with a first year HC.

Yeah, Dan Mullen is a literal QB Guru, might even be one of the top 3 in the country considering what he's had to work with. Dan Enos is good, but that QB room is diggity dogshit.
As a team they hit 51.1% of their passes. Just for reference, Florida lost its HC halfway through 2017 and had to play Feleipe Franks after Del Rio, Trask and Zaire all got hurt -- with its HC being Randy fricking Shannon and still managed to get to a 55% completion rate.
It'd be a miracle if Miami kept it close.

Except your OL. And that’s huge. 4 new starters & alot of pressure on UF to win & win big. Bc, like you said, Miami sucks. Imagine if y’all can’t get the run game going bc the Hurricane DL has their way with ur inexperienced OL. They’ll headhunt Franks & he’s an admittedly sensitive dude. Could make for a long day if the Gator O struggles early.
Expecting no offensive fireworks from either team in the first game. It’ll be a low scoring grind.

So Miami with a worse offense (decidedly, not up for a debate) is going to do something without a QB? At this point you guys are just writing Fanfic about the Gators losing.
Sure, if we have turnovers, the OL is completely unprepared and the entire team plays like shite yes we will fall to Miami.
However, everyone thought the OL would be terrible last year and it was one of the best in the country. I have way more faith in an 11 year SEC HC taking his team into their second year after a top ten fricking finish and boatracing Michigan over an HC with zero years of experience after bolting for the Temple job (lol) and no QB.
The guy has never run an offense and is putting all of his hopes and dreams into his OC. No part of this game outside of that single matchup looks good for Miami, and even then I'm sincerely unconcerned because I know our skill positions are going to put them to shame.

It’s a helluva important matchup. Don’t sleep on Miami’s senior LB corps either.
Season’s first game, a rivalry game, with a lot of unknowns — probably why UF’s at -8 right now. Bet that shrinks as we approach game time. Blowout? More like toss up.

Florida will upset the dawgs this year. Mullen can identify and develop his talent. We know Kirby can recruit but can he truly develop? The jury is still out. He did a great job at Bama but will it translate?
Mullen won 10 games in his first year and hung with a much more talented UGA team last year. He did wonders with Miss St in a tougher division with less talent. Folks are sleeping on Dan. He can compete with top 10 classes and once he starts to prove his program is legit he will recruit at an even higher level.
I just have a feeling Florida beats UGA this year. Georgia with all that talent will lose 2 games in the reg season.

Not next year, but Mullen will walk away with 2 National Championships before it's all said and done
