If Texas never beaten Georgia, would they still be getting all this preseason hype?

Do people forget they still have four losses in a no defense conference?

I think you know the answer.

A good Texas is good for football. Same reason they’re propping up Florida as a challenge to Georgia in the east even though the talent isn’t close; a good Florida is good for football, especially when Miami and FSU are trash. Someone needs to fill the vacuum that UCF is incapable of filling

False.
A shitty t.u., however, is GREAT for football.
The apologists in the media turn themselves inside out to make excuses and everyone else shits all over them, causing infighting on the air and making it extremely entertaining.
See 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons for reference.

Definitely not but ......Is the big 12-2 D that bad or is it just the narrative? I don’t see anyone scoring 74 or 72 in any of these games, even in OT.

It’s great for non TU fans in the state of Texas (Aggies, Frogs, Bears, etc) but Texas is the primary national brand in the second largest state in the country. They have an intense rivalry with a team consistently ranked in the top 5 in Oklahoma. They have the most recent national title out of the big 12.
I don’t like Texas but like Southern Cal and Michigan and FSU and Miami, the sport is just better when they are

You really fail at context.
LSU/A&M was 31-31 at the end of regulation. Neither team cracked 40 points until the 2nd Overtime.
Missouri and Oklahoma State both had more points
Alabama and Oklahoma both had more points
Syracuse had more points
Baylor and Vanderbilt both had more points
Cal/TCU was an affront to football with 9 combined turnovers.

Go frick yourself and stop making excuses for getting beat by a shitty team in your bowl game.

That loss hurt aggy more than it did Georgia

Texas beat the piss out of UGA and deserves all the hype they are getting.

You really fail to understand that everything isn’t about aggy. Read the OP again and try to comprehend that the question was about big 12 D’s. Step away from the sheep, you can do this if you try.

Yes, they would. I mean, it was a bad loss, but Texas gets this attention every year during preseason.
And, as much grief as we give them about that, there is no denying that they seem to be improving and on the right track.
