You're turning into your Dad.
Couple weeks ago I backed out of my driveway. Yard looked amazing. Cut, clean and green. Looked at both neighbors and neither have cut their grass in a couple weeks. I scoffed in disgust. Then caught myself, "Holy shite, im turning into my Dad"

She charged me, I'm terrible in the sack.
Also, the real moment for me was when I started enjoying quiet time reading a newspaper.

When I went to home depot to get some replacement flood lights and ended up buying a new work bench, a table saw, a new drill, a new set of screw drivers, couple wrenches, washers, nails, screws, level, some lumber, shop broom, a floor fan, wd40, a ladder and a hatchet (it was $17, why the frick not). Forgot to get the flood lights, had to go back.
Went there to spend $20, ended up spending over $2K.

I found a shirt at Dillards that I liked. After going to pay for it I stopped and thought this was what my dad would have bought.
I put it back and got some underwear.

Going to the further away gas station because it’s 5 cents cheaper.

When I reorganized my tool rack so the tools all lined up correctly by size and type. I might as well start wearing socks with sandals now. I'm pretty much gone at this point.

I had a little my Dad moment the other day. I went to Lowes to get a bag of charcoal that was on sale..It was not marked on sale and I told the guy about the mis-mark..I ended up getting two torn open bags (28lbs) for 4 bucks..I think I felt a little pat on the back..

My Pop is stubborn as a mule as was his father. I noticed a while back that i was turning into him but recently i had to double down on something take control of a situation at a family event and tell everyone to STFU while i fixed it "googled" and some them mofos said do you believe everything you read on the internet... I said hell F-ing no i don't but when you got 8 different people saying the same dam thing on the interwebs it's at least worth a shot. give me 10 minutes lets try it and if it don't work we'll never try to fix it that way again. naturally the fix worked. YouTube for the win.

When I yell at my kids, I notice my voice sounds just like what his sounded like back then.
Also, a love for having to do something constructive around the house after work. Thought I'd never be the type where i have to be doing something all the time. Being lazy was something he never was guilty of and now i'm becoming that way.

It’s cool how that works, also needing less sleep but somehow still needing caffeine. Aging has some perks.
