Not rejoicing in a young kid’s failings but, dayum, Mullen’s mouth has put a curse on UF. Paul Finebaum, who I’m certainly no fan of, was in Mullen’s office and said Mullen was running his mouth about UGA. Finebaum couldn’t understand why and says now that Mullen is getting his.

Such a stupid comment to make by Finebaum. Good way to lose access.

String of shitty news, but luckily it’s May and you don’t play the games until August. Georgia had their string of shitty news in March and April between 6 different guys getting arrested, staffers getting fired, players transferring, etc. It happens to a lot of teams in the offseason. Unfortunately we’re a top 10 team again so we’re under a microscope in an offseason where it’s been especially bad.

ont think this was included:

Junior defensive end Antonneous Clayton and redshirt freshman defensive end/tackle Malik Langham, one of the highest-rated members of the 2018 recruiting class, entered the NCAA transfer portal, a hit to the depth on the defensive line.

Mullen's quote semi directed at Fields needs to be on all portal posts.

That was just Paul's way of showing he's decommitted, too.

Regarding Mullen’s obsessive mouthing off:

“I just don’t think you need that,” Smart said. “That is not going to make Georgia great. We are not going to move up in the rankings by what I say. We are going to do it by how we play. We want to talk with our helmets. That is what we always talk about — we want to play a physical brand of football and not do it with our mouthpiece.”

Looking forward to Nov 2 when Kirby & Co. absolutely fvcking destroy UF. Their melt will be sublime.

Dan Mullen is an absolute goober and always has been. From stalking and clubbing his wife over the head to get her to talk to him onto dressing out a recruit's fat pa in that ugly orange dream. He is the Hangover Alan of the SEC. He is, quite literally, the greatest thing to happen to UGA football since Herschel. Please don't ever fire him.

I figured y'all would eventually come around to the idea that your coach should shut up about Georgia until he's actually at least competitive on the field ...

I guess he doesn’t expect Mullen to be around long

I told Gator fans that Mullen would need three outstanding recruiting classes in a row to succeed at Florida.

That also included keeping those recruits.

Gators could be looking for a new HC again in two years.

Yeah, cause everything on the field has indicated he’s on his way out

Finebaum is out of line discussing private off the record conversations, in my opinion. If he goes to Saban’s lake house and Saban was talking about Clemson in private and off the record, Finebaum would be out of line to mention that on air. It’s a fair standard to hold journalists too. That’s all my point is

Ya never know. Uf has developed a tendency to fully implode.

As a State fan I agree. His constant mouth running got old. We'd be playing Kentucky or somebody, and he'd make an underhanded comment about Bama or OM during his weekly press conference. I'm not going to lie Mullen got respect for our program, but he took us as far as he could. His arrogance in recruiting the Mississippi kids was bad. Mullen could get away with his dumbarse shenanigans at State, but with Florida being a more nationally known and recognizable program his dumbarsery and lack of recruiting will be called out and made more known, which we see isn't good.

True. As has the school in Athens that has lost a couple in a row and found new and creative ways to blow big games under their current head coach.

UGA hasn’t had a UF scale, 4-8 type implosion in remotely recent history. at “lost a couple in a row” even qualifying in the same realm of meltdown.

Question for a friend, has UG had a Natty or a losing record most recently? And a second question, what is the mutts record vs UF since the last Natty? Surely they have dominated the series against the lowly Gators in the last 40 years, or 50 years, or even 60 years! Look it up, you might be surprised.

Comparing this week of news to going 4-8 is absurd.

Look at the on field results last year to see the current state of the programs. Y’all kicked our arse when we played y’all. We got better to finish the season.

Y’all finished 11-3. We finished 10-3. Y’all lost your last two but still finished in the top 10. We won our last four and finished in the top 10. Neither of us won anything of note. That’s why both of our fanbases are so excited about this coming season.
