Every situation is different

Any coach with half a brain instructs his players the same way. Every player below round 2 needs to come back to try to make into the first two rounds and get guaranteed money.

Every player comes from a different situation. But if I was a coach I’d say the same thing.

I'm taking that as a compliment coming from you.

Because advisors always have the best intentions

It's just common sense...something I'm afraid this board often runs short of.

Foster Moreau (4th round pick, TE - LSU) just signed a contract with the Raiders. The contract is for $3,008,000 over 4 years. He receives a signing bonus of $488,000.
Do you know how long the average American takes to earn $3 million?
If you average $100,000 a year, it will take you 30 years to make $3 million.
It is well, well, well worth any athlete to capitalize on their skill as soon as they are legally able to. They can all work regular jobs after their football career is over.
Just stop with the nonsense that players should go pro unless they are only a 1st or 2nd rounder. It’s just dumb.

Agreed.
Saban is a selfish bitch...
Of course his 3rd round players are getting paid pretty well at Bama.

You need to learn more about the process before you go running that mouth, my friend!

Unfortunately old frickers like you and I are the only ones who have that knowledge.
That knowledge comes with time and looking back. Cant see that at 24

The coaches are right. NFL money doesn’t sniff MLB or NBA contracts. If you’re not going in first two rounds and you have that potential why not stay?
This could be avoided if they changed signing day to correlate with draft day so that just like baseball and basketball you could enter the draft but not sign with agent and then come back if you don’t go where you think you will. To me that is the answer that would make everyone profitable.
