Also, something tells me Byrne knew this was at least likely during that press conference the other day. The things he said seem to line up with the hire just a little too perfectly to be coincidence.

Man I’m excited. Of course we were all deflated when we thought it was Matta but this guy looks like a can’t miss guy. He was crushing people in the MAC. I think in 2-3 years we can be in the top 2-3 in the league. Very appealing style for recruiting too. He wants to fill it up on the offensive end. And he’s still a little under the radar. We might sneak up on the rest of the league. And he’s a Saban fan. Welcome to the Tide CNO
