what exact NCAA rule did Auburn break? I don't think it's against NCAA rules for trying to get the best players to leave early. That is the exact opposite of trying to gain a competitive advantage.

Cam newton baw. I have no doubt that cam along with many other players got paid to play college football. Cams dad is on record asking for money for his son to play at Mississippi state. When this was investigated and they went to Auburn the Auburn admin played dumb. Again at some point they still have to find some evidence. Yes it’s not a court of law but you can’t just hit a coach with a show cause when you don’t have any evidence.

You would think shoe money has been drying up for everyone, everywhere. I mean wasn't one of the main guys linked to adidas, and had worked a Nike.

I imagine every call starts with "are you wearing a wire?"

Some people thought this might blow up the NCAA blind eye stance to their major source of revenue. But let's be real here, the NCAA will sound off about the integrity of the game and then hope it all goes away.

The FEDS investigated that. They have proven they don't know what they are doing. You should get Wade to ask them about it.

but the FEDS do. So back to my point........the FEDS will be turning over everything they gather to the NCAA. Meaning: The NCAA will basically have to do no investigating on their own. They are letting the best in the world do it for them.

You really should pick a counterpoint and stick to it.

To hire a guy that has experience with giving the NCAA a middle finger.

I think good attorneys would be smart to threaten to bring the whole system down.

The NCAA keeps trying to make the case that what happens in basketball is the case of a few bad actors.

When, in fact, the stood by while a this system developed under their watch. At this point, all the seem to be interested in doing is offering up the occasional sacrificial lamb.

Time for the lambs to start fighting back.

or maybe that happened right before an article came out saying the FEDS were investigating him? Could this just be a coincidence?

an article came out that an FBI field agent from Baton Rouge was in Baton Rouge and this COULD mean that the FBI is investigating Wade. This is Yahoo grasping at straws.

What would the FBI be investigating him for? They’ve had the tapes for nearly 2 years. Why would they just now open an investigation into Wade? This is clickbait by Yahoo and, of course, the dullards here ate it up.

once again....LSU fans taking what they want from an article and ignoring other parts.

FBI agents were in Baton Rouge investigating suspended LSU basketball coach Will Wade and his recruiting tactics, according to a new report from Yahoo Sports. A Louisiana-based FBI agent was reportedly doing in-person work in Baton Rouge the week following Wade's March 8 suspension as part of the investigation.

Again, that’s Yahoo editorializing the fact that Louisiana based FBI agents were in Baton Rouge.

You think maybe it could have something to do with the motion the FBI just filed to suppress Wade’s testimony?

Again, why, after sitting on the tapes for 2 years, has the FBI decided to open an investigation into Wade, and exactly what crimes do they think he committed? Of course, you can’t answer these questions.

Based on the shoe company FBI cases, I don't think they can charge a coach if he didn't take a kickback

They got the coaches on bribery

Why would the FEDS be there trying to suppress Wade's testimony. They have nothing to do with that. The defense is the ones who subpoenaed Wade.

Maybe they have new evidence? Why do you think the federal govt. is involved at all? This entire thing is about income tax evasion. If Wade was buying players, the federal govt. will go after the parents for income tax evasion.

the shoe company

Currently, NCAA basketball is a waypoint in the marketing campaign of these shoe companies that begins when these kids cannot even grow facial hair and continues until the shoe advertisers can really profit in the NBA.

Bribery sadly looks like a standard part of the business model.

again, dullards. If the defense subpoenaed him to testify the logic says he’s going to testify about something that’s good for the defense and bad for the Feds. Are you seriously asking why the feds would want to suppress a witness called by the defense? And the feds have filed a motion to suppress Wades testimony btw.

It's the rant. They troll and troll and troll and then, when Will Wade is coaching LSU next season they'll spin it.
