When the Rav4 was planted on Avery Salvage Yard property it had the wrong size car battery. From a Crown Vic fleet battery.

An assistant DA intended to voice mail the AG about crucial DNA evidence that they destroyed and were lying about but he misdialed and left the message on Kathleen Zellner's line.

I’m still trying to figure out how they stabbed her multiple times but didn’t spill a single drop of blood on the bed she was allegedly raped on.

Since its the silly season with Sports and we are discussing Crime documentaries.

Has anyone watched Abducted in Plain sight on Nextlix.
I have several issues I am struggling with on that one. That is the most insane Crime Documentary I have ever watched.

I don't know that I've got the stomach to watch Abducted in Plain Sight.

Franklin Delano Floyd
The man linked above was the subject of the most intriguing true crime show that I've ever seen.

Floyd abducted a very young female child whose true identity was unknown for many years after he killed her. He raised her as his daughter and raped her the whole time.

The two moved around a lot because Floyd was a fugitive. When the girl was in high school here in Georgia she was her schools valedictorian. She was smart enough to earn a full scholarship to Georgia Tech.

That never happened. Floyd turned her into a stripper and married her before later murdering her. The old Court TV show "The Investigator", episode "Deception" covered the case. The way the truth unfolded as a result of decades of multiple investigations in different states was mind blowing.

There were at least two other murders including a stripper and a young male child.

Agree on the lack of evidence in the trailer. How could they explain that and believe Brendan’s description of what happened? It’s not reasonable. And how about the random shell casing they found in the garage 4 months later after numerous searches? That was ridiculous.

Abducted in Plain Sight was really disturbing. Those parents should’ve been charged as accessories.

The whole prosecution theory of the Halbach murder is preposterous. There is no way that Steven Avery would decide to burn a girl's body in an open pit ten yards from his sister's home on Halloween. His sister had four sons. What if someone decided to stroll over to the fire roast marshmallows?

Back in 2005, three piles of unidentified burned human bones were found in the Manitowoc County quarry a half mile South of Avery Salvage Yard. That fact was hidden from Avery's jury.

Now it's been revealed that those burned human quarry bones were given to the Halbach family for burial or cremation back in 2011. For the last three years the state has been lying that the bone evidence had been preserved.

Kathleen Zellner has Wisconsin by the balls.

Are there new episodes? Or where is all this unfolding... He seemed like a dude who was probably guilty of something but that in this particular case there sure as shite didn't seem to be enough evidence to convict. But I only watched the show when it was first released. Dunno if there's new content.

Avery called the woman to his house and the woman was last known to be there before disappearing. They found her vehicle and her her bones on his property. I think it’s safe to say that there is overwhelming evidence his 60iq arse killed her. The problem is, they coerced someone with an IQ of 40 for a confession to seal their case. Avery in my mind was always guilty and the kid got dicked. They used that kid to explain the story when they could have just used dna and physical evidence and locked up Avery.

Avery is a pervert but I don’t think he killed this woman. Lack of DNA in the trailer, the key being found only after the retired Sgt was allowed to wander alone through said trailer, and the burn pit in the yard. The fire in the yard isn’t remotely close to being hot enough to destroy bones. None of this adds up.

That shite was wild. I mean wtf were those parents thinking? I couldn't believe the mom sent her off again. And of course the dad "relieving" B.

There was the first season years ago that everyone watched, but they also released a second season within the last ~6 months I think that does have some new stuff. It's not quite as compelling since we already know the storyline but it basically follows their new attorney and her journey to get things set right. She's a relentless worker and comes across some pretty interesting stuff. It drags at times but if you liked the original MAM series I'd suggest giving it a try.

Season two of Making a Murderer is on Netflix, same as season one. I follow developments on reddit's Making a Murderer Tick, Tock Manitowoc sub.

The Rav4 that was planted to frame Avery had a wrong-size Interstate fleet battery that was purchased for the Manitowoc County sheriff's fleet. Before Avery was arrested, he was suing Manitowoc County for $36M because of a previous frame job costing him 18 years in prison.

The girl who was murdered, Teresa Halbach, was a photographer for Auto Trader magazine. Avery Salvage Yard was in her regular territory. It was discovered that Cathy Willeford, the woman who photographed cars a few times at Avery Salvage Yard before Teresa Halbach, was an undercover agent of the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation. Willeford had a long history of employment with the DCI.

The .22 bullet that the state claimed Avery shot into and through Halbach's skull wasn't embedded with bone splinters. It was embedded with wood fibers and red paint. The bullet was never swabbed for blood but a contaminated DNA test found some of Halbach's DNA. That bullet was found to be coated with a waxy substance thought to be Chap Stick. Halbach's Chap Stick was one of the items that cops seized to harvest a DNA sample.

Avery's DNA was discovered on a vanity key to the Rav4 and on the vehicle's hood latch. The vanity key and lanyard contained none of Halbach's DNA. Micro Trace Laboratories hired by Kathleen Zellner found that the quantity of Avery's DNA found on those item was so great that it couldn't have been left by touch. DNA was apparently deposited on the items from buccal swabs of Avery's cheek.

Cell tower location data suggests that Halbach left Avery Salvage Yard alive. Blood spatter on the inside of the Rav4's rear cargo door indicates that Halbach suffered blunt force trauma while standing behind her car. Burned human bones were found in five locations. There were three human bone burn sites in Manitowoc County's gravel quarry. Burned human bones were also found in Avery's burn pit and in a burn barrel near Avery's trailer. The quantity of burned bones found on and near Avery's trailer accounted for less than 10% of what would be expected if that was where a body was incinerated.

The first jury vote at the conclusion of Avery's trial was 7 not guilty, 2 abstain and 3 guilty. Avery's trial attorneys helped plant a volunteer deputy sheriff and the spouse of a Manitowoc County clerk on his jury. Two jurors later reported that the panel was intimidated into the guilty verdict.

Avery is not a good person

There is overwhelming evidence in my mind that Avery is guilty and it was discovered researching the case and not taking an entire slanted view that you are given in the movie. That doesn't absolve the county as they clearly didn't follow ethical procedures in some of what they did but like most conspiracies it would have taken more than one or two cops and more than one or two DAs to falsely place the murder on Avery. There is plenty of evidence including ballistics that pretty much set Avery as the sole defendant in this case. The guy they try to plant as a possible suspect in the movie was also wronged.

As for Dassey, even if he played a role in helping Avery - he is not a murderer and was literally too stupid to understand the gravity of any situation he was involved in. Honestly, it's like that entire place was cousin fricker including the cops.

You have it all wrong. The Federalist article that you linked is a total joke. Not one single claim in that article has ANY basis in truth. Not a single one.

There is no ballistics evidence. The only bullet in evidence never penetrated a skull and contained no blood. The victims DNA was apparently planted on the bullet from her seized Chap Stick tube.

The only evidence that doesn't have strong indications of being planted is Avery's blood in the Rav4. There are indications that the blood evidence was also planted. There were no Avery fingerprints in the car. The Avery blood in the car appears to have been deposited by swabs and not dropped from a wound.

Yes exactly the parents needed to be arrested for child endangerment

And the dad story with the relief I was like what the hell is wrong with these people. Aliens etc just overall insane

Aside from the kids and most importantly the victim
Every adult involved should have experienced natural selection ...

Well I know its hard to judge someone from a documentary but as a Man and a Father at least what they showed questions his ability to be either.

I have a daughter and if someone even looks at her my heart rate goes up. I know one day I have to let that go but my primary goal in my life is to be a good father and protect my family at all costs.
He seemed to do neither.

It really was the most bizarre story I have seen.

The other one is the Pizza Bomber guy. That one was almost as crazy all the different threads in that one.

Netflix is great for these kinds of documentaries.
But HBO set the bar with Paradise Lost.

As for the Steve Avery one. I watched both seasons. I have really conflicting thoughts on all of that.
