The O.J. trial was torpedoed from the very top by DA Gil Garcetti.

This is a delusional take. So Garcetti assigned a top prosecutor (i.e. Marcia Clark) to the case because he "torpedoed" the prosecution?

That's just wrong. If he would have wanted to "torpedo the trial" he would have assigned someone like her co-counsel Chris Dardin (sp? or whatever his name was) who was much less qualified than her to try the case.

She may have been out-gunned by OJ's dream team legal counsel but she's an excellent attorney as evidenced by her dogged attempt to convict him and her rise to fame since then.

Garcetti would have assigned a much less qualified prosecutor to "torpedo the trial."

Garcetti agreed to move the venue away from Brentwood. Darden was employed to screw everything up. Just my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

If you didn't notice, Clark screwed up a simple case by making it overly complicated. Doing so introduced an excess of attack vectors.

Jefferson Dawg, you are truly primitive.

You probably believe that God sent Trump to deliver the Rapture by sending us all to either heaven or hell in a nuclear Armageddon.

"Doing so introduced an excess of attack vectors."

I don't agree with this. The LAPD's inability to handle evidence in a responsible manner opened those vectors and ultimately allowed OJ's defense team to create reasonable doubt.

And the political climate after Rodney King along with Lance Ito succumbing to that same pressure allowed Cochran to pull a circus show in front of the jury and the media.

Which makes you the tip of the enlightened progress spear, right? A godless self-medicated weed-numbed commie with a side-obsession for gory rape and murder tragedies.

Yep. Sounds about right.

On OJ-

The prosecutors won the case, clearly, but the jury decided it was time for a black man to get away with murder to make up for the rich white men that always got off.

That's all there is to it.

O.J.'s jury wasn't all black. There were white people who also let Simpson get away with murder.

My "sick obsession" with murder trials had one positive result--I won a $100 bet on the O.J. verdict.

No one should have faith in our justice system. I do my part though. I never try to get out of jury duty.

On advice of my counsel (DR) I rest my case.

You're exactly correct.

And Judge Ito refused to let them get off with a hung jury. So the white people could either spend the next 50 years sequestered and being paid $12/d or eventually give in.

For someone who acts like he knows alot about the OJ trial, you seem to not know alot about the OJ trial.

Did you ever discover anything at the bottom of the lake on your CSI Near Athens adventure? I don’t think I read a follow-up report or otherwise must have missed it.

Before Halbach's Rav4 was discovered on Avery Salvage Yard as testified to at trial, Sheriff Peterson reported that the car was found in a gravel pit.

That gravel pit, which was a quarter mile South of Avery Salvage yard, was the Manitowoc County quarry. That quarry was where three human bone burn sights were discovered as evidenced by the state's own forensic anthropologist.

At Avery's 2007 trial the prosecutor claimed that those burned bones were most likely animal boned. In 2011 the state violated federal and state law by relinquishing those "animal" bones to the Halbach family.

Did you actually read the article? It says toward the end "the pit" is a term used for a part of Avery's property. In Avery's words.

Read the article.

No, you should probably opt to have a life instead. Maybe do something like compete on BBQ Pitmasters.

Avery has a very small fire pit. No vehicle was in Avery's fire pit. A fire pit isn't the same thing as a gravel pit. Avery Salvage Yard has never been a gravel pit.

The second articles specifically says that the Rav4 was found in a gravel pit near Avery Salvage yard.

You don't understand how newspaper deadlines work(ed). The article has a highlight on the story, in blue, a disclaimer of sorts, saying they slapped this together at the last minute before the print deadline. The newspaper did no verification or fact checking, just slapped it together in the late afternoon to get it to print on time. And admit it with a blue highlighted square in the middle of the article.

It was actually something closer to my home state: “I live my life in WalMart fashion.” This is part of the lyrics from Blue Blooded Woman where the gal is described as “Saks Fifth Avenue perfection.” LINK

As you may know Jackson is a Southerner from Georgia and the song also describes him liking his sushi southern fried.

The reporter had to get the information about the gravel pit from somewhere.

The report is possibly mistaken. The fact that cadaver dogs alerted in the quarry and the fact that burned human bones were found there also argues against a mistake--especially a mistake made by different reporters in separate newspapers.
