Is there a more painful way to go than being burned alive?

I mean, it would be over quicker than you think but I can't think of a more painful way. Obviously it probably isn't the worst way to go out but probably hurts the most. Being tortured to death doesn't count here.

No. I’ve heard stories from people who have witnessed others who were trapped and burned alive in cars, and I’ve seen pictures of the aftermath. I can’t imagine the pain.

My Grandather was burnt over 80% of his body but lived. The aftermath of being burnt like that is terrible.

I think it depends. In warfare with flamethrowers it happens quick as the flamethrowers use up the air so you die quicker. In like a house fire smoke inhalation may kill you before the flames do. I am guessing when they put you in tires and you go slow while the melting rubber scalds you, that would be bad.

Couldn't imagine. How one human could do that to another human escapes my imagination.

English eviscerated you while you were still alive.

Can't think that would be much fun to experience. Especially as they cut your junk off and burned it in front of you.

Allow me to introduce you to...

Crucifixion!

Burning alive is a horrible, horrible fate, but its over pretty quickly. Super heated air, if nothing else, broils the lungs pretty quickly. Its an amazingly hideous way to go.

Crucifixion, on the other hand, depending on how you were crucified, could last for days. There is a reason that the Romans only used it for the worst crimes... and why Pilate had to be talked into using it for JC.

CENTURION: Crucifixion.
MATTHIAS: Oh.
CENTURION: Nasty, eh?
MATTHIAS: Hm. Could be worse.
CENTURION: What do you mean, 'could be worse'?
MATTHIAS: Well, you could be stabbed.
CENTURION: Stabbed? Takes a second. Crucifixion lasts hours! It's a slow, horrible death!
MATTHIAS: Well, at least it gets you out in the open air.
CENTURION: You're weird.

Always look on the bright side of life!
